@@ProjectDadLife lots of the wheelie dudes actually prefer the 88. I did a vid featuring geno leonati a while back. Search his name on my channel with dyna and you should be able to find it. He does a walk around of his bike/set up with the 88. Flat track would be pretty rad!

Love this! Thanks for being transparent about costs and sharing links. Easy to get down about owning a nicely built bike when people are pretty commonly spending $30k - $35k on a bike. Absolutely crazy. Time to sell my Yamaha and get building! Only changes I'd make - would love to do an FXR fairing and some mini bags.

With the windshield not being made of glass, did you have to use a special tint for it?

How did you tint the windshield? What is the height on it and how bad is the wind buffeting effect at speed? I'm looking at T-sport and considering different windshield options..
I just used standers yellow window tint. It’s 11” no buffering at all. This is my favorite fairing.
Great build! You've inspired me to do something very similar. How do you like the width of those bars? They're pretty narrow compared to stock.

Badass man, I don’t think that’s a lot, under 5grand for a bike that is custom to your like/taste is do-able... which is what I’m trying to do on my 99 stock dyna. I got it a month ago but will be doing everything little by little as I can. Thank you for the content and the time you spent putting these video together! 🤙🏼

Thanks man! I actually enlarged the gauge pod holes and mounted it to the stock headlight bracket holes on the upper triple tree. Worked perfectly

Dude, that's stupid cheap. I spent more than that on my 07 and its got a long way to go before I'm done. Right now I'm just digging riding it. This winter the fun starts .
Did you rejet the carb, and if you did what size did you go with? I have a 2000 fxdx and am getting the Dan Moto exhaust like yours . Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks. By the way great looking bike, you did a nice job.

Yes sir next on the list! I’m gonna do just the simple tensioner pad replacement. I might put some adjustable push rods also just to take up some wear slack in the rocker arms but leaving everything else stock. Thanks for the support

i wouldn't say 5k is a budget build but it turned out very nice!
5k spent on the entire bike, nice sporters go for that.... find out what jons moto garage spent on a bike of a similar year...
Got a question when you ordered your pipe was it pacifically for your fxd ? Because I found 1 for a softail for 100$ I’m not sure if it will work
