They do a lot of different genres, their older songs are more punk rock, pop punk and alternative rock, and more raw. Their recent stuff is more pop rock, but more polished and well put together and Taka's vocal abilities reached the point where he is easily one of the best rock singers in the world now, and that's not my opinion but that of vocal coaches. Some fans like their older, heavier stuff more but every band evolves and changes and people grow up and mature and their musical tastes and influences change over time too. I like how they went from an angsty emo teen band (they were 19-20 years old when they debuted) to a band whose major purpose in life now is to provide happiness and hope to their fans. The lyrics became more positive and uplifting over the years, putting the focus on togetherness, unity, power in helping each other, hope for the future. Taka (the singer) said once that he considers themselves the "sunshine band" and even joked that if ever there is bad weather forecast for their show, it's not gonna rain cuz he brings the sun out :))) I know you are more into heavier stuff but could be interesting to check out some of their more recent stuff, like Save Yourself, Make it Out Alive, or newer renditions of old songs like the Luxury Disease Tour version of Clock Strikes that showcases Taka's vocals much better.

They were formed in 2005. They have 10 LP. Members are
Taka lead singer 36 years-old
Toru guitarist 35 years-old
Ryota bass 34 years-old
Tomoya drums 36 years-old
They have collaborated with bands like 5sos, sleeping with sirens, against the current, Teddy swims, Alex gaskarth, Avril laving and a few more. They co-wrote a song with Ed sheeran they are good friends with linkin Park. They are highly influenced by Western world music. Taka cones from a family of singer. His baby brother is the lead singer of My First Story.
They have a wide variety of rock styles under their belt and they are strong on motivational lyrics and have an amazing crowd control. They are the most humble and fan loving band I have seen in a long time. They sing for 800 people to 50,000 with the same intensity and passion.

Takas parents where both incredibly big in the japanese music scene, they have incredible voices so im not overly suprised by how amazing he is and im sure growing up his parents taught him tricks.
Hos youngest brother also has a band worth checking out

Takas story is just insane i suggest everyone look into these boys and their history, its truly fascinating.

Yeah, im just a super busy person, CZcams is like the 7th thing i do on my list. Just because i don't do research doesnt mean i dont love it. Music is my life.
