Well, she's still unaware about the subject it seems. She said it's Hindu festival. It's not Hindu. It's Indic festival. It's an Indian cultural festival. And culture belongs to the soil that is "Bharat", not with any religion. If we associate Indic festivals with Hinduism, it will be great injustice to 5000 year old civilization. Me being non Hindu still celebrate Holi, Diwali or any festival because i belong to this land called Bharat and 5000 year old civilization. Hope this is clear.

one of my south asian friends invited me to celebrate holi with her. i’m polish and she’s indian, since we both have a lot of festivals and fun things we always celebrate it with each other. holi truly felt so magical, such a beautiful celebration 🤍

Not even a single innocent persion walking down the street is spared.U can see everyone playing with colours, and streets are wet with colour water. There are splashes of water on u from the terraces, if u mistakenly foot outside the house. We play holi together, and all the people of every society gather with their colours and water guns and bam into each and every house of the society.
U can't even hide from the attacks of colour, people would find you wherever you are hiding. Children play in teams, and the members of each team have to colour the members of other teams. It's more like a war. And the best is when water enters the colour fight, water all over in the house and on the streets.
On holi, u have to be very careful if u are outside, as no stranger is spared, children are always ready with this colours and water gun on the terrace to colour u all over. Not even a single person is spared on holi of being coloured.
It is celebrated for 2 days. On the first day, we go to temples for worshiping.
In the morning of second day, delicious dishes and sweets are prepared and after the meal, the fun of playing with colours starts.
It's such an amazing festival.

Whoever you are if u r in India and if u come out from house on Holi, u will get colored all over . And in friend circle people just enter house and make you color... Hiding is impossible... Daytime it's most fun-filled with watercolor and in evening we go to every friends house to eat various sweets and snacks and play dry color powder Holi ,taking blessings from elders ,younger people put dry color powder on elders feet and get blessings.
