I used a lot of different on job hydraulic fixes and they all do the same if you do it right and get the compression fittings bottomed out and tight your good, the only thing is you need a adapter to swivel (turn) on one end of the hose

A field attachment fitting is a thing of the past because of the liability. But that's not saying they're bad. they are ideal for quick fixes to get you out of a bind. I've worked in the field for the past 21 years changing failed hydraulic hoses and I would recommend to someone that is in a remote area that couldn't afford a failure. 1/2" in a 100r7 hose is not as common as a -06 but still would with the right adaptors. The one thing I would recommend is hitting the car carrier hard with this product in a 3/8" version. There are thousands of owner-operators hauling cars on car carriers with miles of thermoplastic hose that have countless wear points. I sold so many -06 field attachment fittings with jump adaptors to drivers but did not offer bulk hose with my sales. hit em hard, that's your target market. One last thing. The gentleman explained the reverse thread on the feerule and when to stop threading onto the hose. A good rule of thumb which I always used is to turn the ferrule all the way until it stops and then back off 1 to 1 and a half turns. This guarantees that you will have a full bite of the ferrule and limit the chance of the fitting blowing off. Might want to offer an -06 R1 and an -06 r2 ferrule in case the driver may have to splice into an r1 or r2 braided hose.

How is this different from Aeroquip hose ends? I used them 30 years ago and they worked well.
