Because even though it's still McDonalds, there are different resources in China which means their menu is bound to be somewhat different.

They do have places like this! It’s a mix of different areas like all other countries/states. Not everywhere is like this though and some influencers are hired by china to make the country look perfect to give westerners a good impression on china. China is given a bad impression but remember that many countries are much more advanced now, tech advancement and large chain locations are not tightly correlated with the type of dictatorship or bad impressions of China. There’s regular big chains like Uniqlo, KFC, Starbucks in China just like any other country.
