Picked up a Kinect on release day, so I thought I'd upload some gameplay videos. May as well start with Sonic.

This would of been the best sonic riders game if it weren't for Kinect controls

This game had a lot going for it; the level design is fun, the music is awesome, and the graphics are satisfactory. What am I forgetting here...? Oh, yeah, the GODAWFUL CONTROLS!! Seriously, trying to do anything is like sledding down Mt. Everest blindfolded, juggling, and saying a tongue twister at the same time!

Lol. I liked the 2 other games cutscenes more than the text things we got in Free Riders. Would've been nice to see some cutscenes with these graphics. But then again nothing interesting happens in this games story since it's all just interviews so they don't really need cutscenes.

The opening theme is so legit.
I guess I was literally the only one that loved this game as a kid. And could actually play it like for me the controls were perfect but everyone else’s weren’t.

Dude you have no idea of how much nostalgia I’m getting rn from this, me and my little brother used to play this all the freakin time!! Though the boards were hard to control it was still fun. And the best part of playing it was getting to listen to the sick intro.

@@ApexCove they were confident in the sonic riders mini series if they’re able to do a trilogy on it. Free riders was just a massive screw up because it was on the Kinect.
Unfortunately Free Riders is basically the Megaman X7 of the Sonic Riders Series
And here I am still hoping they'll pick the series back up and make a new Sonic Riders game in the vein of the original one in terms of gameplay.

I remember back then when this came out I wanted this so badly since I am a huge Sonic fan since childhood. I was so pissed when I found out it was an Xbox exclusive since I had a PlayStation and Wii and it was released only on the one console series I didn’t have. Then it turned out to be a flop mostly due to the Kinect controls. And I also heard the story and voice acting for some of the characters were not up to par. Thinking back at it now I am kinda glad I never got my hands on it.

Some complains are legitimate (eg: this game being kinect only), but I agree with you. As much as I like newer games, constant whining is what led to the removal of anything that isn´t Sonic and GO FAST. I understand hating wtfs like fishing in SADX (not Big himself; the gameplay) or the automated controls in Secret Rings, but for the most part, it´s just like it´s cool to bash Sonic, the internet´s punch-bag. At least they´re slowly bringing back good stuff like playable Tails in Sonic 4 ep.2.

I remember buying Sonic Riders Zero Gravity and selling it like a month after I bought it because the controls were complete garbage. Same with Sonic and the Secret Rings, the characters were practically impossible to maneuver. With both Sonic Riders Zero Gravity and Sonic and the Secret Rings, I couldn't even get past the first stage in the game because the controls...my God the controls...
In case you didn't know, (for the Wii versions, at least), to move your character, you have to hold the Wii remote horizontally and you need to tilt it forward, back, right, and left to move your character. Now if anyone has a Wii, you know how horrible the sensitivity is with games that require those controls. I heard both games were pretty good, but I don't see how anyone can even get half way through the game when it's so difficult to play.
I don't know how this game is, though, I've never tried it. What platforms is it on?

And it's shit. I played it, pretty much unplayable (menus don't work, turning is slippery, it sucks at picking up your movement)

The game sucking is an opinion but its a fact that the menu screen was horrible for kinect its so annoying to use.
It wouldn't be too bad if this was a bit remastered and have controller controls instead of kinect motion controls, if the Sonic Team would remastered the game again and make controller controls, I would play it, if it's any good

I got this game when I was like 8. At that age Sonic was my favorite thing ever and I was blindly loyal and liked basically everything from the series I played. I liked Sonic 06 for god's sake.

I haven’t played that game before cause I don’t have an Xbox 360 but after watching walkthroughs of somebody playing it about 10 years ago, I became interested in the sonic riders series. 1 year and a half ago I got the game sonic riders zero gravity. The game is pretty cool. They had a team sonic story and team Babylon story.
