  • Hi All!
    A short video showing engine start procedure on a Honda Jet aircraft.
    ATC comms are in Polish and it is just a request for runup on idle power.

    Looks amazingly easy to run and flight ✈️. Good option for little business plane. He's Fast and furious.

    I know that's a lot of other plans have to wait until N2 is a certain percentage like 14%. It doesn't look like the case with a Honda jet?

    The phenom 100ev needs special procedures because of hydraulics if parked for some days. How does the Honda fare on that?

      What do you mean by special procedures? Honda basically doesn’t require special procedures for longer parkings except disconecting the batteries is recommended (takes 15s each)

      @@737Aviation a complex hydraulics reset. Many problems with 100ev hydraulics.

      You don't "rev up" turbofans. You run them up ;)

    I will never have the privilege of flying this jet in real life so I must settle for Microsoft Flight Simulator. When I start the engines, I wait for the starter to get up to its max with is about 10% before moving the throttle into idle is that incorrect?

      I don't the order matters enormously, the engine will always start as soon as it gets fuel. However I do understand introducing fuel too early can risk extra wear as it leads the ITT to spike more sharply during startup.

    How do you turn the right MFD screen off?

      The right PFD and CDU are not powered when on battery power on the ground. They automatically power up when a single generator is online or with ground power connected.

      @@gso2632 thanks for the response! My question was more, with power applied, is there a way to switch off the far right (FO) screen? For example for single pilot ops

      Sorry I didn’t understand your question. There’s a few reasons you wouldn’t want to do this. 1. It’s not an authorized normal configuration to operate the aircraft. 2. There is data communication between all 3 displays and the avionics. This would eliminate all data from the copilot PFD. 3. There are automatic reversionary/backup features for a failed display. These features would be compromised with the copilot PFD intentionally disabled. 4. Lastly, there is not a switch or selection available to disable either of the PFDs or the MFD.
