I hear you about doing a lot of hauls this month and I’m defo doing more than usual because I’ll be taking time off into my third trimester and after the birth of my baby girl ❤️ that’s mostly why I’ve been so excited to do hauls recently because I know I’ll miss them for a while haha! Hey Carys! I love you and everything you stand for but would you consider uploading more chatty/ sit down content and less fast fashion hauls? I know you do that with James but you have such a huge following on this channel and it would be amazing to have more self care/ general chatty videos with just you! Lots of love 🤍
you should do updates on your hauls of the stuff you actually end up wearing and loving! you always seem to love and be obsessed with every item during the haul video, maybe a video like "what I actually wore this month" or something :) there is just no way you get to wear all of the clothing items you show in your hauls
This is a great idea! I bought the "you've met your match" set before that she tried on, and I remember being like "oh this is so cute" when I tried it on and then it promptly got three snags and a run about 10 minutes into me wearing it around the house-- yikes. A lot of these brands have items that are cute but do not stand the test of time, which is why I stopped purchasing from them. An update on what holds up and what doesn't would help point out what items may be worth it to by for someone on a budget. Not everyone can afford sustainable brands, but that makes it even more essential that the budget items they buy last longer than a wear or two!

Carys, I love your channel but I thought maybe you could make a video on some sustainable fashion? Maybe it is better to invest in something timeless and good quality that will last us longer and be better for enviroment? I just feel like these hauls videos make people want to buy more and more, consume unnecesarily rather than think before buying. I wish you all the best in your journey!
But she wouldn't be able to pay her mortgage on her £650,000 house and do all the reno's without doing paid collaborations with these fast fashion companies. Smaller environmentally friendly companies aren't able to afford to pay influencers to market their goods for them. A social influencer is just a marketer. Someone who is paid to market things to consumers. You have to realise it's her job to do these videos. She's being paid to influence you to buy these products.
I totally agree! If she wants to continue doing hauls I think she should incorporate more thrifted items. Fast fashion uses so much water and chemicals which negatively impacts the environment. Did you know it can take around 700 gallons of water to make a single t-shirt?! I also would love if she released a sticker or pin/button or another more eco-friendly option with her merch so we as fans can support her without going against our personal beliefs of respecting the environment.
i agree. it makes me upset seeing influencers constantly making videos are these fast fashion brands, especially sites like wish, shein, romwe, etc. they’re not at all good quality and i would never considering buying from them. the low price does not makeup for the bad quality and awful ethics. i would feel guilty buying from these places. i understand that some people buy from these places bc it’s all they can afford, but in the end it’s not going to last more than a year.

Adore you Carys, but not a fan of how you advocate brands such as boohoo, pretty little thing, nastygal etc when they have been found to be so unethical to their employees. Personally I can't support that.
I always see comments like this but never when someone takes out their iPhone or their Nike trainers. Most brands use child labour or questionable practices. I don’t think you can critique someone for something that systemic and should be regulated by government officials not people. The police and government are supposed to protect and serve not a random young lady who’s wearing what 90% of people wear.
I agree, they are not sustainable. As much I love them both I would like to see young entrepreneurs making other people aware how bad for enviroment this cheap, fast fashion brands are :( And unethical for employees too.

@@nothanks150 That's a very fair point which I completely understand. Issue is the government doesn't do much to help it, and I personally dont like supporting companies or people who buy from companies that pay their employees such a small amount. (Also understand its hard for people who dont earn much since clothes are usually very cheap). Whether or not it's the governments duty to regulate it, the public can still have morals and not support it too

I'm pretty sure brands approach influencers, so they get sponsored (paid & possibly free or discounted clothes) in exchange for them making advertisements for the clothes! I think a looooot of companies like to promote their stuff through influencers nowadays because it's probably way cheaper thank other ads

I’m so confused.... I’ve seen Carys do Nasty Gal hauls in the past and she always loves everything. So I decided to order some stuff from them. I ordered 12 things and only kept one which was a basic tshirt. Returned the rest. The quality of everything was shockingly bad!! Not soft, cheaply made, see through. And they were all very different items - a dress, plaid pants, lounge set, a sweater, etc. Genuinely the worst clothing order I’ve ever received. How is she getting all this “amazing” stuff??!!!
