Those power boxes are deadly. Back in early 80s, an apprentice falconer had his red tail tangled in one of those. He climbed up the pole and when he touched his red tail, they both died.😢

Thats terrible, they are obviously so much to be respected and avoided.
Falconer's here in California, avoid these transformers like the plague. In the last 6 years, I've only heard of two birds dying. A great game hawking passage Red Tail that belonged to Anthony's wife Tanya and a beautiful Finnish Goshawk that belonged to Erland Renslo. @@freebirdofreason1994
Great video again Pete.....my males a sod for voles....had a great point with my Brittany on a rabbit in a bramble patch....hawk directly above....just before the flush...he came down and nailed a vole on the edge of the patch....off went the rabbit chased by the dog....happens to me 3 or 4 times a season.
Poor vole. My Harris loves a vole as well. I have 2 used for pest control but the male can't resist a vole 🤣
That’s typical right when it all comes together which is not often the hawk has the easy option, at least you had a nice point, I know the feeling of frustration.

love voles hate moles, won’t eat a mole, had one in a trap gave it to the hawk and he threw it away.
