Interesting test on a feature that you have, you know it is there, but you don't think about it. In the real life, in 1 year, I had 2 warnings that prevented me from opening the door and 1 time for a passenger. And it was for good reasons each time. I found that very nice that the system did remind it was there and it was helpful. It operates rarley, but it is helpful !
And another comment about the e-latch, my passengers who are used to the car praise the electronic opening, they like to softly push the latch to open the doors. You just need to explain new passengers who are not aware of that system, but those who are like it.
I had it do it once or twice as well. One time it was in a parking lot where a F-150 just rush out of the spot to leave the parking lot. It really stopped me from opening into the car.
Good testing. Btw, just checked on Canada site. The NX price rise up and does not qualify to the Canada Federal rebates anymore.
@@acurachan I just checked the IZEV rebate eligibility and 2024 NX PHEV is on the list. They had ultra premium only a few weeks ago, but they removed it and left the trim blank.

LEXUS never stated that SEA was bulletproof but I see that it works pretty much as designed. The thing that I do not understand in so called reviewers is that they rant for 20 seconds to a minute about the e-latch system as a whole labelling it a contraption of some sort. The same CZcamsrs did not seem to be upset by the push to open system in Tesla Model 3 and Y...
To be fair the exterior e latch button system is for me the most questionnable part of the system because it is unusual (you do not expect a classic "fridge" handle to work this way) and is prone to freeze in not so harsh weather conditions. A regular user will adjust pretty fast (at least for the first point)
The inside e-latch button is on the other hand pretty straightforward. You can press and push the door in the same natural motion. Tesla's button is more clearly labelled with a self explanatory icon but it will make it difficult to press and open in a natural and ergonomic way

we are loving our new 350h ,our biggest concern is trying to get our second key fob ,anyone else with this issue . you spend 60k + and you cant even get 2 key fobs .big downer.
You will be getting the second key. Lexus opted to get you the car and not have to wait months because of the delay in chips for the key fob. I know it's inconvenient to have one key fob, but it's still better than not having the car. There are a lot of people waiting for the second key fob and it's not just for the NX, it's all other models as well. I haven't heard from anyone that any customer who got 1 keyfob got the second one yet. Hopefully soon. I know it's another waiting game, but meanwhile you can enjoy your 350h.
Maybe if you restated the car the computers should make the adjustment

@@lsft I am sorry I was referring to the safe exit assist. I was wondering after you made adjustment in settings if you would get a better response if you turned the car off and back on like rebooting a computer
I just purchased a 2023 RX it is so complicated your vids helped a lot . I have a digital key just stopped working but can still start the car remotely but won’t open doors when I approach the car.
@@blkcondor3326 you don't need to restart the car for it to be effective. You should check if the digital key got deleted. Sometimes after an update the digital key gets removed

I would rather have the full 14.4 gallons of the tank instead of this useless feature.
You'll have to really drive it until it stops to see if there is 14.4 gallon capacity. It will stop and then you'll need to fill it up after towing it to the gas station.
Interested in the prospect of buying a UX300e for my second car next year when we give our little Citroen to a grandson, I dropped into my Lexus dealer. During the course of the conversation he said that the wait for a 450H+ has now blown out to 3.5 years. As a result, the model has been taken off the web site and Lexus are not accepting orders. Lexus will focus on the very high level of orders held. He suggested I make my 450H+ my second car and buy a RX as my first car. This model is AUD130k. But we want a small car. The UX300e has not been sold by my dealer because it was taken off the market because the range of 280km was considered inadequate. A new battery will provide a range of something like 450km. The top line model is AUD86k and the wait is 8 months. The whole ev subject is interesting and technology AND PRICING is moving at a rapid rate. I think we can feel pretty good about choosing the 450H+. Asnyou know, I had the front end ( and trunk and door edges ) of my car wrapped and 2 coats of ceramic/graphene over the whole car. Washing it is so easy. The water beads perfectly. I dry it using a Makita leaf blower. The result is a car without any water stains and the job is very quick.
Yes, they are only doing acknowledge of interest for the NX450h+ in Australia. Maybe at the end of the year, they will reopen the orders again, if supply gets better. I think the UX300e with 450km is good option for a second car. A car for inter-city driving would be great. The 450h+ is great for longer road trips and still be able to drive EV mode in shorter distances as well.
