Fish pie is a traditional Irish cuisine prepared with several different types of fish in bechamel sauce and covered with mashed potatoes. After cooking in the oven, mashed potatoes form a delicious crust that pairs perfectly with a creamy fish base. Usually, this dish is prepared with codfish, haddock, salmon or/and shrimps.

Puree:
1 kg potatoes
250 ml milk
50 g butter
A pinch of nutmeg
A pinch of salt
Stuffing:
250 g salmon fillet
250 g cod fillet
500 ml milk
50 g butter
60 g all-purpose flour
1 leek, cut into rounds
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste

You have turned your mash to liquid with so much milk added, and I'm sure you realise a much roomier bowl is needed to give it a good mashing.I haven't seen lumps of fish go into a pie like this it is usually flaked, but I suppose that comes down to how you like it.Your mix needs to be cooled befors you cover it with mash or it is going to fall into your sauce.This is a simple easy to follow recipe which is good, but needs to be done correctly.

WORST mashed potatoes I have ever seen!! Didn't bother watching after that mess. Food saving expert? Seriously? Don't cook it, leave it in the shops. That'll save the food!
