Tia is allowed to call him whatever she wants, once he is comfortable. I called my step dad by his first name until I was 18 years old, and he was in my life from I was 7. From 18 until now, 37, I refer to my step dad as my daddy. When I say daddy now, everyone knows I mean my step dad. In time she will acknowledge him as dad, especially seeing the way he loves both of you. 😊 Continue to love one another, and keep your family first.

I'm 58 years old. Since I was 6 I had 2 step parents (on both sides). I called them by name and referred to them as step parents. As I got older I referred to them as bonus parents. And when talking to medical staff they are my parents (mother and/or father). Period.

My kids were 12, 9 & 3 when met my 2nd husband . At that time their own Dad was in their life & it was their choice to call him by his name. 26 years later they still call him by his name but their love & respect for him is as strong as it would be if he were their real Dad.

Wow, I am so surprised people are critical about Tia calling Graham by his name. That is 100% NORMAL for a stepchild to call a stepparent. Anything else would be weird!
I think it's disrespectful for her to address her stepdad by his first name.
Keke should teach her to show more respect. Graham may not express it, but he likely wishes his stepdaughter would call him 'Dad' instead of calling or yelling his name. It's a more respectful approach.

Father is a title God gave you but “dad”…. That is special and only that child can give you that name.
My exhusband was always in his son’s life. So having my son call his father dad and then forcing him to call my husband of version of that seemed right at the time but wrong in the end…
It would be nice to hear Tia talk about her goals and ambitions.
I enjoy seeing and listening to this family, the most important thing is that they are all happy and enjoying life together in each others company. Because of Graham’s pleasant attitude it helped Tia to bound quicker with Graham and not felt left out. At the end of the day they all need each others support and with God’s help they will make it😂

As a child growing up with an evil stepmother, I hated that my Dad would make me address her as “mom,” when I knew she wasn’t. It was so awkward. Plus, my real Mom was and still in my life. As a got older I was allowed to address her by her name, which I much preferred. Now I’m a stepmother myself and would never expect the kids to call me “Mommy.” My name is perfectly fine❤❤❤

There is nothing wrong with her calling him Graham, it should be up to the child if and when she wants to call him Dad if ever, especially when they meet as an older child.
Also fact she refers to him as dad in other situation shows she does see him that way and respect.

I called my mother by her name, my daughter calls me by my name, but my son calls me mom. I never instructed my children which name to call me and I don't see it as a disrespect. Keke that's the type of family I grew up in, an open household.

I remember when I went to Moscow for my degree and I called the lecturer by teacher, madam or Mrs and they were not okay with it as we do it in uganda. When u want to give respect to an elder person you call them by there last 2 names, given name and fathers name. This is because they are usually given 3 names. So different countries have different ways of showing respect. The habit of calling people uncle yet they are not related, in an African based thing that people think its respect but not.

I’m signing in on why Tia doesn’t call Graham dad? My Mom married my stepdad / dad when I was 10 and him my mom and I sat down and he told me to call him whatever I felt comfortable with my dad wasn’t hands on but I did talk to him on the phone but he wasn’t around so I just wasn’t use to calling any man dad but I too sign everything dad and he is also every bit of a dad to me and also my children he’s granddad to them. He sat at the hospital with me and kept me company when I went in for surgery ❤ I Couldn’t Have Chosen A Better Man To Be My Dad I say my dad but I do call him by his name I’m now 50years old and I Have The Up Most Respect And Love For Him Tia Seems To Be A Beautiful Young Lady and Her and Graham seems to have A Wonderful Relationship ☺️ 👏🏽👏👏🏻💥✨💯 GOD BLESS 🙏🏽🙏🙏🏻
