This was not even close, but i am not saying its bad 😉
Oldschool Dubstep afaik never included full breakbeats, never heard one on for example all the old DMZ releases.

Damn... Well, it was my HONEST attempt XD. Thanks for the input. From what I'm gathering true Dubstep is a very strict and refined genre. I respect that to an extent. I still love it (og dubs) >:P

Sounding good! For old school dubstep, I would turn down the melody synths or even get rid of the lead synths all together. For this genre I would focus on the timbre of the sub bass, and the syncopated rhythm. Maybe make the drums a bit more sparse too, leave room for the bass to breathe and lead the track. Most of the headroom should be occupied by the sub bass
But this advice is just for if you’re going for the old school sound, make whatever you think sounds good 👌

💀 oh dear lord that's strict. Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll just make a varient of Dubstep (don't worry I'm not gonna obliterate the genre like Skrillsex did)

I think the term is "deep dubstep" nowadays.
