My iPhone Says Searching! Here's Why & The Real Fix.

  • Two Apple experts explain why your iPhone says "Searching…" and show you how to fix the issue for good. A lot of people just assume their iPhone is broken and head to their local Apple Store or wireless carrier store.
    However, a lot of the time your iPhone says Searching… because of a software problem. Turn your iPhone off and back on, then check for a carrier settings update. You should also try ejecting and reinserting your iPhone's SIM card. If all else fails, reset the network settings.
    Contact your wireless carrier:
    - Verizon: 1-(800)-922-020
    - Sprint: 1-(888)-211-4727
    - AT&T: 1-(800)-331-0500

    Thanks guys, tried all you had suggested but failed with my iphone , but was successful by using 2000 grit sandpaper, I cut (and folded - for rigidity) the sandpaper to match the size of the simcard slot , I inserted it into the slot several times then blew into it to remove debris - inserted sim and started iphone back up , worked on mine but may not for yours but worth a go

    Funny story. After trying everything in an iPhone 6 turned out it was a little bent close to the mute button. That was what was causing the drop in coverage. Don't know why. I just bent it back to shape and it started working all over again.

      Same problem, same solution. Just hit the back where the antenna is located with a few taps on a cushioned surface such as pillow or mattress as you turn it back on. Sometimes it is also caused by an occasional weak signal.

    you fail completely in all your videos to say that most of the time is a hardware problem and on top of that you seem to have no clue why its even happening.
    correction 1) sim cards do store phone contacts, usually 250 contacts, its just iphone dosnt store them there, it dosnt mean they dont have contacts
    correction 2) cellular antenna rarely get damaged and most of the time is the baseband IC that gets damaged and people cant do anything themselfves about it, the iphones are very fragile, one small drop can break connections on the chip or like most iphones have a small bend that break connections on the chip

    • @jamesphilpott6932
      @jamesphilpott6932 Před 6 lety +3

      Get your facts right you illiterate dunce. iPhones don't store contacts on sim cards you buffoon. Also, don't be afraid to throw a capital letter in the mix for all our sakes. Should be a caps lock button on the right of your keyboard if you haven't figured that out yet. Before you start criticizing you should take some time for yourself and learn what buttons your keyboard possesses. It would make us all respect you a little more and make you not look like such a low educated dense clown. Unless you're blind, than I am sorry and encourage you to keep participating in our society.
