My iPhone Says Searching! Here's Why & The Real Fix.

- Two Apple experts explain why your iPhone says "Searching…" and show you how to fix the issue for good. A lot of people just assume their iPhone is broken and head to their local Apple Store or wireless carrier store.
However, a lot of the time your iPhone says Searching… because of a software problem. Turn your iPhone off and back on, then check for a carrier settings update. You should also try ejecting and reinserting your iPhone's SIM card. If all else fails, reset the network settings.

DID NOT FIX MY PHONE AT ALL.
cheers for that
the irony. 'my phone cant connect to the network'. Solution: "call the carrier". great vid guys. actually helped me out.
How?
Great!! It works now after taking out the sim card!
Thanks guys, tried all you had suggested but failed with my iphone , but was successful by using 2000 grit sandpaper, I cut (and folded - for rigidity) the sandpaper to match the size of the simcard slot , I inserted it into the slot several times then blew into it to remove debris - inserted sim and started iphone back up , worked on mine but may not for yours but worth a go
i have tried everything, nothing seems to be working for me. My phone doesnt even say "No sim card installed" when i took it out and tried to put back on. Still searching. Dammit!! im so sick and tired of this.. Any ideas?
J Cerny I’m having the same thing happen to me. Contact ur carrier dudes
hey guys! The carriers services were alright, it was just a common software issue, factory settings helped me out
J Cerny what did you do to get it to work?

For my iPhone 7, a simple network reset did the job. Thanks guys!
Did the reset network settings. Back in business :^) Thanks guys!!! Great channel!
yessir the last step worked perfectly, my phone is up and running
Took my SIM card out and it worked
I’ve had this for months and apple just wanna charge me £200 and then pass back the amounts used for the repair. My iPhone 6 Plus costs £165 for trade in. Any help or guidance?
try pushing down your bottom volume button & power button at the same time, hope it works
abigail kornegay this worked!!! Thank you so much nothing else was working and I really didn’t wanna reset
Tried everything and it wasn't working. Thanks for the advice, it works now !!
Thank you ! Worked great
Funny story. After trying everything in an iPhone 6 turned out it was a little bent close to the mute button. That was what was causing the drop in coverage. Don't know why. I just bent it back to shape and it started working all over again.
1:03 on my Network, it says Not Available when I go to the "about" page in general. What does this mean? My phone, as well as two other working phones, are on the same network, same company.
I’m having the same problem. Did you end up finding a fix?
mine worked after hitting the back then restarting it and hitting it some more
Chaze Dacosta lol
Same problem, same solution. Just hit the back where the antenna is located with a few taps on a cushioned surface such as pillow or mattress as you turn it back on. Sometimes it is also caused by an occasional weak signal.
I dont even have a sim card and it still says searching
Will I lose any of my photos from removing the SIM card
Not at all
Great Video On iPhone Repair. It's nice to see a good POV to further my knowledge
does it delete your apps
thank you!!!
It gets connected after the network reset than after sometime it will go into searching network again, all over again, all the time, repeat it and it goes on well then searching again! Please help
Same problem is mine also searching only
Me too I smashed my phone in table not work searching only
None of these work, it's the bad soldering of baseband ic on the logic board.
Nothing help me how i can fix it?
Thank you so helpful
Nothing fixes it, I got a NEW SIM card, it worked for like 5 minutes, then it went back to searching. Can’t take calls, but I can use FaceTime.
Did you ever get it fixed
Factory reset if all else fails
The only thing that worked for me was beating it against something.
Same here lol
omg thank you 😂
yo ima try this
-starts punching phone-
KLM’s i

Under network in the about tab it says not available for me?
DankMoon I’m having the same problem
xMoistcoconutzx I just got apple to send a new one
DankMoon yeah took it to the store and they told me it was a problem with the iPhone 7 I had! Some kind of recall or something so I’m getting a new one tomorrow lol
xMoistcoconutzx yep same thing with mine
DankMoon where you under warranty?
Hello I got my iphone11 and I trasfer my contacts from a 6s. Since then many times it stucks when you type an name from my data base. Even though you have allready typed 3-4 letters the phone do nothing Only if you scroll by my finger and then touch again the 3-4 letters the ipnone brings on the top the name I am looking for. Apple knows the problem. No solution. Any advice?
Try and put your phone on airplane mode and reset the network setting it work for me

I was just about to eject Sim card in on the third restart the cell signal was required.
My little brother put my phone in the microwave when I was in the shower , it now says searching and the home button is kind of messed up. What do I do? Because I can’t ring apple as I have no service
Mine says 1x
It worked! OMG UR Awesome
What if none of these steps worked
2:55 - 3:15
factory settings man. Only thing working for me
J Cerny where are the factory settings?
Is really factory reset works?
Hammer.
Thankkkkk you sooooo much
None of theses steps work for me
ABSavage I did u upgrade the phone???
Thank you. bout had a heart attack 😢
Thanks for nothing. Just inserted the point of a paper clip into the SIM card hole and the card flew out landing on my intricately patterned Oriental carpet. Found the card, seems to be missing the top edge and reinserted in the phone (probably upside down or backwards) Can't get it out. Now what?!!!
Daisy D you made all types of mistakes here and then say thanks for nothing as if it’s anyone else’s fault your card is stuck but your own
Victor Sanchez hahaha
Hammer.
Tried all of this. No success.
This helped me so much thank you!!!
You did it you fixed my phone thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!
great these videos never help
After getting my battery changed at Apple, my phone started with this dumb sh*t
fucked up my phone even more dang 😂
don't mock it thinking ur smart everyone knows what a SIM card is
you fail completely in all your videos to say that most of the time is a hardware problem and on top of that you seem to have no clue why its even happening.
correction 1) sim cards do store phone contacts, usually 250 contacts, its just iphone dosnt store them there, it dosnt mean they dont have contacts
correction 2) cellular antenna rarely get damaged and most of the time is the baseband IC that gets damaged and people cant do anything themselfves about it, the iphones are very fragile, one small drop can break connections on the chip or like most iphones have a small bend that break connections on the chip
Get your facts right you illiterate dunce. iPhones don't store contacts on sim cards you buffoon. Also, don't be afraid to throw a capital letter in the mix for all our sakes. Should be a caps lock button on the right of your keyboard if you haven't figured that out yet. Before you start criticizing you should take some time for yourself and learn what buttons your keyboard possesses. It would make us all respect you a little more and make you not look like such a low educated dense clown. Unless you're blind, than I am sorry and encourage you to keep participating in our society.
you just wrote an entire paragraph just to say exactly what i already said.
and no english is not my mother language, deal with it.
@@jamesphilpott6932 Working for a carrier i can honestly say NO. There is only network info on the Trio sims that we use at VZW, USCC, Sprint, and T-Mobile
They just took apple suggestions and made a video.
I had this issue for over a week. I deleted a few voicemails and my phone started working again. Maybe it was just dumb luck but, this video is redundant. Everything they told us to try is kinda common sense and most likely we already tried....Redundancy
This is because apple's garbage
Thank you sooo much for this
