31:41 - can we just acknowledge that on Arena the card has a special effect, different border and ussually even a popup that says "This can't be countered. Are you sure?" Opponent needed to go through all that just to fail that counterspell. It was probably a roundabout way to show Louis they are stuck with unplayable cards with hand, but if it wasn't that is pretty impressive level of stubbornness.
Maybe I have too much faith in humanity, but after they barely did anything on their turn, I interpreted that first opponent's "good game" as an actual "I lose, gg".
You interpreted correctly. Timeless has the most obnoxious stuff arena has to offer. The mono red player knew the moment he saw the Sneak Attack come into play he was doomed.
Yeah probably didnt snap concede just to see if it was lethal and/or lifelink coming in off the sneak, but they knew they were dead to sneak + anything

The opponent knew the game was over. Either he loses immediately to sneak or he has more than enough to kill next turn.

My favourite thing to do in Timeless is to flash in Bowmasters in, then cast Oko and make the army a 4/4 and make another army when they draw next
one of the standard brews when oko first came out was a sultai deck with dreadehorde invasion, which did the same kind of thing. very cool interaction
Yo, just a small suggestion. As a new(ish) player, I will sometimes pause the video to read the cards as they're played, but they settle behind your camera and if there's a lot of text some of it is obscured. Would be dope if you moved the camera box down and put your sponsor logo elsewhere. I suspect a lot of your viewers are pretty advanced and don't need to read the text, but it'd be a help for me :)

But I, as a long-time viewer of your personal channel, found that having the sound effects turned down made the video much more viewable!! You know, if I’m a bronze league guy on Arena in a new format who is 100% dead to LSV but he doesn’t know it yet, I might Good Game too. It was, after all, a Good Game.

Something to point out - Arena matches by MMR primarily in constructed, then by rank (yes, they’re different). That’s why LSV was getting opponents with pretty good decks even in bronze. He was likely matching up against other people who’re playing constructed on Arena after a while and are good players. There’s probably a good chunk of players who don’t know much about how the power level works in timeless trying out really bad decks in low MMR bronze, but Arena is just matching them against each other.
They may have the decks, but they were still playing Brainstorm with Bows in play, or Counterspell into an uncounterable creature, lol.

have to hand it to wizards - putting a bunch of commons onto arena that for some reason rares, and then creating a format where everyone must craft all those rares that are only playable in this one format is genius.

I've been locked out by a Chalice on 1 and still played all my unplayable 1 drops stuck in my hand before coinciding. I think it's just funny to show your opponent how bad they got you. All in good fun.
Would rather you just concede instead of wasting both of our time. It’s like the people who tap all their lands then concede. Lame as hell.

im surprised we're not playing wildgrowth in this list over halfling. Halflings only realistically casting jarsyl with uncounterability. But there's a definitely an argument that it "blocks" monkey that I could see wanting it alongside deathrite.
Opponent probably GG’d because the Sneak came down and they knew they couldn’t win after that.
What would be a good replacement for Jarsyl? I just hate digital only cards so I don't want to waste wildcards on those.
Anything at three that you like and generates value. I am fond of Seasoned Pyromancer, for example, but with that one you need to be careful around Bowmasters Mana. Might also go for something green, like Jarsyl itself, to get the Natural Order potential - maybe Tireless Tracker? In a Lurrus world, Klothys is also kinda neat to keep the graveyard clean, but she might be to low impact.
I like to say GG when I know opp has it in the bag, and just let them do their thing. I doubt they said GG because they had the win in game 1.

The most disrespectful thing in mtg is saying gg before you win. Not only that, your opponent will play slower because they are trying to figure out wtf you mean.
I wonder if some 5 colour good stuff deck will end up being the meta because it has access to all the busted cards in the format.

That's basically what people were playing the first few days and its definitely not as strong as having a more focused game plan.

Arena's aggressive "Good Game"s are so dumb...it looks like it's another community compared to Mtgo...Mtg for the masses...
As a Good Game connoisseur myself I think most of these Good Games are just opponents saying: "Yeah, I am flooded, you win". Like in this scenario I would drop a Good Game and probably even concede if it is just ladder - opponent not doing almost anything and then untapping with a Sneak Attack is almost a guaranteed loss.
I always keep in mind that any new players, who are often young, will be on arena. The newer generations don't approach the internet with any shred of respect for others.
