Yes I’m just like you , there are some I go out of my way and buy. Armani , Blue de Chanel and Dior sauvage. YSL but yes the price for the new ADG Parfum smallest size is $108. And 4.2 oz cost $198 I wasn’t gonna buy it. I ended up getting it but I’m a collector I agree 100 % with all your views. It’s redundant to own this and Profumo.
I tried the Parfum in the store. It takes away the pleasant darkness of Profumo and replaced it with a green tint. Also the Parfum does not have the performance of Profumo. The lighter tone does make Parfum a bit more versatile but I will stick with Profumo.
Hey bow tie love your videos!! I’ve always wore profumo for the warmer seasons like these, it was the fragrance that got me into the game I’ll always love it and have a special place in my heart for it, when it was discontinued I was so disappointed but I appreciated it while it lasted and I was enthusiastic about parfum and I currently have it and I can confidently say it’s a solid fragrance and gives me the same vibes I got from profumo

I agree, the pricing on this is absolutely outrageous. I've bought full-sized Parfums de Marly fragrances for substantially less. You can buy a friggin' *Creed* for this kind of money, if you know where to look. I'll stick with my two bottles of the original Profumo and be happy.

I happen to agree with you. I have smelled the parfum and I’m not that impressed. I look it’s good but I like Profumo better I have Profumo I’m actually getting a back up bottle and a parfum. I’m not gonna get it and I’m a collector I am fragrance enthusiast, but I’m not gonna rush out and go grab that.
Appreciate the honesty brother. I’ll keep my $160 and rock my Profumo till it runs out. As of late I’m feeling Profondo Lights more anyway.

@@garywashington6757 If you never smelled it, the opening can be off putting. Like wet grass. Give it about 25-30 minutes and the magic happens. What I’ve noticed if you have Silver Print it’s more incense, the Matte print more Patchouli. And about an hour more longevity with Silver print. Same smell overall. Panty dropper, Cougar Killin, office king. Little mature,not grandpa but cool unc. 10/10 the longer it sits the better it smells.

It's crazy the opposite poles of people saying this lasts then others saying the exact opposite. I ran out of my old Profumo and I was hopeful to get one of these. Bentley Silverlake lasts forever on my skin and I ran out of that too. Like they can split and fuse atoms in a lab but they can't make a fragrance last more than a couple hours.

I've smell them both and personally i love profumo. The incense give it a richness while it continues to be a fresh scent. My only issue is that it's being discontinued for a cologne that shadows in comparison. With that said i bought two back ups for profumo as i like this much better than the parfum version

Its sort of a let down doesn't last anywhere as long at least for me, i found a hack though using both together works exceptionally well for me.

I just bought 'left over' Profumo at a small pharmacy close to my house. It's discontinued because of Parfum, so hard to find. It was their last 2.5 oz (175ml) bottle. $155 CAN (so $110 USD) . A better buy than the overpriced, inferior Parfum. I originally had bought Profundo about 2 years ago. Good for summer but does not have the versatility of Profumo.
I like it and my wife likes it but they sent me a sample of Armani code Parfum and it’s better to me
I love both but there is no point in having both cause they favor a lot
Sauvage Elixir is a 5 star fragrance and it doesn't smell like the other Sauvages
that incense is what I liked about Profumo so I'm kinda hurt they took that out
Why "discontinued" the profumo in the first place?
Returned my first Parfum order to Macy's and the replacement was no better. I still can't smell anything...my gf can't either. Very disappointed in the Parfum. I'm going to have to find folks still selling Profumo which was an excellent product. Why did it get discontinued?
And yet again another cash grab. These designer releases have been uninspiring and unoriginal to the max. And people just run out and constantly buy them not even realizing what’s really going on. All of these companies are just copying and pasting every new release. One company makes an elixir and then every other company follows suit.

If you don't have either go with the parfum version as profumo is being discontinued. If you've smelled profumo first get that while you can along with a back up. Once it's gone it's gone

WHen I heard that Profumo was discontiuned, I went out and bought 2 of the 125ml to stash away, I love it that much, but I had to get me nose on the new one. I was out with my wife and we passed a Macy's so we went in and tested it out. It was way better than I expected, but I didn't bite. Then, about a week later, I went online and I found a deal on Macy's website and got the 2.5 and a travel bottle gift set for about 10$ less than the price if the 2.5 on it's own. So, I bit. It showed up 3 days later and I sprayed it on after dinner and my wife was like "Geez, which one did you put on tonight. It's really strong". She liked it and it projects like crazy. It's very close to Profumo. I like them both, and will wear them both. I'm glad I bought the backups of Profumo, but I'm equally happy with Parfum - and it's stronger than the recent batches of Profumo. Anyway, IMHO, both are great. Profumo is a classic, and 5 years from now, this one will probably be considered one as well.

No way in hell I'm spending that much on a designer fragrance. All 36 of my Mancera fragrances were less than $100 each, granted not retail but still. Hell all 18 of my Bond No 9 and 6 Parfums De Marly fragrances were under $150. I wore AdG in high school from 96-00 I'm not running around smelling like that 23 years later 😂
