I've practiced with a few PBA pro in the past and two things I noticed that they did EXTREMELY well was be consistent and making the right decisions. Even while we were just fooling around they don't. Their mindset was don't waste one second on the lanes. Be better each time you're on them. Learn and earn.

Oh, I should also comment what you told us to. My favorite videos are always the one you got your friends on. They always bring a smile to my face. Cuz you can see the legitimate joy you all have bowling together. And they all bring out a good natured competitiveness in you that is hard to miss. I’ve said it in the comments before, but watching those videos makes me want to get my friends together to go bowling. That’s something that I’ve only gotten here on The Hype. It feels like inspiration to go out and do. Love that. It’s good energy.
When a man knows his dreams and stays with it no matter how the process turns out. That’s one of the many definition that can Make a man or woman truly unstoppable. My dream is to go pro in bowling one day too. You got this!!
regional tournaments will tell you most of what you want to know about whether you should chase it full time or not... try and get in as many tournaments as possible and give it a go... probably the best way to attempt to get a tour card from what I've heard from others and potentially gain sponsors or get on staff.
Staffing wouldn’t be an issue, but yeah have to dominate some local events for sure!

I am 100% sure you already have a plan, one to ten coaches you are already working with or wanna work with. But not knowing for certain, have you checked out Mark Bakers work with The Clean Up Crew channel? He’s def a coach I would love to work with someday. Just watching his videos on here my accuracy and stability at the line has increased. That seems to be his biggest coaching techniques. Timing, stability, posting the shots, hand position, and accuracy.
I enjoy all of your content. You are one of the few you tubers I look to for a ball review. I'm a 2 handed bowler and normally that doesn't translate to your style. But you do an amazing job with your reviews. I love when you bring in the other bowlers it looks like y'all are having a great time. Not to mention it's nice to see a young brother doing what he loves.
making it on tour is tough because you gotta make the cut to make money otherwise you are losing money. As other have said, try a few regionals and see how that goes.
Anything that it is not a major sport (Bowling, Golf, Disc Golf, ect.) have a similar setup: Pay entry fee into a tournament, hope to make the cut.
Yep, especially with all the rev rate on tour. It’s definitely an uphill battle.
@@TheHype-Bowling plus the bowling scene is a lot different than it was 20 to 25 years ago. There are more high schools and colleges with competitive bowling programs, so they are getting coaching as apart of being on the team, while those of us that didn't have access to it had to rely on a part time job or family that found value in pursuing a passion to help pay for a coach (whom, hopefully, actually was interested in your success). Also theses competitive teams are bowling on sport patterns more often than those that are apart of a Sport Shot league.
There's levels to this sport and excellent coaches to seek out along the way. But definitely follow your dream by gaining success and knowledge as you level up!

Tough to narrow it down to 1 video, one of the few that compare bowling ball brands side by side. Follow your dreams. The worst feeling is not knowing.
I understand where being on staff would be beneficial, but I really appreciate your non biased reviews. If you have the means, drive and support system then I definitely think you should follow your dreams and give it a shot. As you said, making your spares is key, along with practicing on tougher patterns. Looking forward to future videos documenting your journey. Will definitely be rooting for you
My favorite videos by you are when you and the fellas get together. I love all the reviews and I have bought balls based on your reviews but I love seeing you and the fellas just have fun on the lanes. It makes me want to do a channel.

Go for it, for sure! Start with the regionals and move up from there. Worst case is you get some good content for the channel. As for favorite video's. I get a kick out of things like Invitational #2 or the Storm Lighting Match. They are half ball review and half kicking it with the boys. ;)

Go and get it. Individual sports dont have the luxury of salary like team sports do. The main thing is they dont make the Revenue. After seeing every video i can say its about time. If you can mentally handle it then do it. Also Favorite video was the Rst x3 vs the Reality check. Its why i have my X3. Keep up the good work. Better get on those patterns tho. I feel like you have a really good thing going right now and who knows what income cap potential is. I know you have the skills and if you want to sacrifice the time at home and money to do it then I respect that as well. I'm chasing my dreams so I cannot shut down anyone who wants to chase theirs. Hard work, bowl everyday. Consistently showing up is what makes the pros. You pretty much bowl everyday as well just not taking it serious so who knows what can happen if you really bare down. I'd say go for it. You have the talent to get out there and make some good things happen. Maybe jump into regionals first to get an idea of how that all goes and then go from there.
It's a big choice, for sure. You've built a great fanbase here, you're great at making videos, you know the game and how it works. Why TF not go for it? You'll get the signs to pursue it - You will only be given the things that are meant for you. Dominate the regionals and go from there. one step at a time. I really loved the Crimson jackal video a lot. I did eventually get one, and sanded it with 3000 - HOOK MONSTER. Alongside my Ghost and Mythic, that's pretty much my league bag every week. keep up the great work, and hopefully i'll run into you in FL sometime - i travel to FTLaud for work a few times a year.

Your journey mirrors my own, minus a CZcams channel.
I have been with this channel, while my own return to the sport 2 years ago. Watching your videos on reviews has become a staple of my learning of different equipment and hand positions for down-lane ball action.
There's more of us needed on tour bro. My dream is the PBA as well. I am waiting on my virtual lesson from Mark Baker to come back and I'm so excited. I bowl the PBA LBC annually. My thing that always worries me is that I'm getting too old since most of them have started younger.
Screw it try some Regional stuff and see how it goes 🤷🏾♂️ you're a damn good bowler man it just takes commitment that's all.

Definitely try the regionals first. Darren Tang does well in those and yet he still barely makes cuts on tour. Packy says he spends over 300 days in the bowling alley. I think you throw a good ball but you’re probably a tier below Tang and Packy

Yeah man go for it. If it’s a true goal of yours then go get it!! U throw it good enough for sure. Swing, release, speed consistency is what it takes on the pro level. As I’m sure u know there isn’t all that forgiveness a house pattern has on sport shots so repeating consistently becomes the challenge. But go for it bro!!
Great inspiration, Charles! I haven't met a spare that I haven't been able to get with my Brunswick Infinity. That being said, I'm still extremely curious about spare balls and have struggled to find any comparison videos for them. Are any brands/models better than the next for performance and durability?

Hey Charles. I love your ball reviews. If you believe in yourself going pro thrn go for it. You can accomplish anything when u out your mind to it. Try a couple regionals. Your Lightning Blackout video was best for me. I just found out a couple weeks ago from you about creating the difference. Its a great site. Thank you for that. I think it's just so so tough to make it on tour. You already have a successful youtube channel to give some income if you don't make enough on tour right off the bat and I think it would be a fun prospect for you but you should definitely do regionals before trying to go on tour. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Praying for you my man! We need more black bowlers out there. I thought about it in my early 20s but the entry costs and the time commitment wasn't sustainable for me. I also had no idea how to get sponsorship if I did have the time to commit.

I was out there about 15 years ago and it's grind. If I could give you any advice, I would tell you and to convert to a two handier before you you go pro.

The cross-brand reviews are great. Selfishly, I'd like to see an Effect vs Ion Pro comparison in the near future. I have the Effect and want the Ion, but I'm thinking there may be a lot of overlap.
No overlap at all, effect is way stronger. Way more flip down lane! An Arsenal review is over due so probably after these next set of releases I will honker down.
Not if it's not a dream of yours. Probably will have to quit your job. But if it's always been your dream, then as long as you're making enough money off CZcams, and you think you'll still be able to make videos while on your journey to the tour, go for it.
Definitely have to make sure the wife is on board 😂. Documenting the journey would be a must. But I definitely would want to respect the craft and the folks that singularly focused on making it happen on the lanes.
