There’s comfort found in phrases often said,
Like, “I’ll be there,” or, “I’ll be by your side.”
And often when we need be comforted
Such phrases are the best life can provide:
Best wishes are the best that life can do.
Sincerely sent are all those thoughts and prayers,
That hope to shore-up psychic revenue
Against the fear that no one out there cares.
But words can work a magic; words have strength
To lift, and spin the worry from the heart;
The spell and dance of words can be enough;
And phrases newly formed can conjure art
That winds these times around you tight to say,
That everything is soon to be OK.

The last two lines remind me of "A FOUR FOOT BOX A FOOT FOR EVERY YEAR" The cadence or some fancy word like that.
And there's no higher praise than that. Heaney's Mid Term Break having one of the most powerful concluding couplets to a poem ever, I would say.
I aint no wordy gobshite. But this i can tell you, that in my opinion that is the best sonnet by you i have heard, bye a country mile. Outstanding art. Can i ask where did you get the inspiration for this ? I suspect it it personal and not to be lent out.
Perhaps, but it also has a universality to the ending of covid/lockdowns and the whole thing, that it worth its placing within the Lockdown Sonnets, I think.
You are so wonderful, I also (still translating your poems) wrote a poet about the "INTRIGUE or CABAL THRONE" of VIIKTOR ORBÁN...I think so that is also great, and you are thinking like Gilbert O'Sullivan in his video, when he showed us the 2001 9/11, there was a HUGE STOCK EXCHANGE FALL......but he sings: WHO CARES. I like him, too, very much, just like you and your dear family.....WE MAGYAR (HUNGARIANS) are proud people and maybe you do not know that the PARTHIAN EMPIRE was found maybe even back to the BRONZE AGE or before it...that PARTHIAN MAGYAR EMPIRE between ARMENIA and the SMALL PERSIAN Empire was the birthplace of the PARTUS MAGYAR or in English PARTHIAN HUNGARIAN KIND, MILITARY LEADER, teacher: JEZUS KRISZTUS. His father was JÓZSEF, the ISTEN, that is a MAGYAR wonderful word, ISTEN and his mother was VIRGIN MARY. Our MAGYAR language goes back to cca. 10.000 years or more.....and that is why I am able to translate
your poems with great soul and I always keep in my mind not to translate BADLY and HURT your sentences and your way of thinking.
