Only if the water is linked to a natural water supply and they can get out, might it be considered invasive. Many park ponds are designed as ornamental waters. I asked how so, they said I kept going around the one mile loop😂🤣🤣😆. I said, oh, that's not allowed??? Then came the back pedaling on their part, "well that section over there is typically very crowded with bird watchers, you may be scaring their birds if you keep riding through..." Lol... , I said, oh, over there, where no one is...😂😆 I love gentrified society. It's less about you fishing, than about you being a stranger, in their "public park" I woulda called the cops on them, for harassment ,and no leash laws. Always get name, rank, and serial number of the commanding authorities bugging you,it instantly scares them off. They are not native fish and the fish that are native to this area cannot survive with these fish in there so therefore they are destroying the ecosystem of this pond. Whoever put them in there was breaking the law. I'm not sure about Pennsylvania but in most states you need a permit to put fish in any body of water, even if it's on your own property. He allows the neighborhood kids to fish there if they promise to catch and release, but the golfers are always trying to kick the kids off the property and get butt hurt when someone fishes there. I don't know what there problem is, but they can be aggressive at times. We were having a BBQ and some beer and they tried to kick him and me off his own property when we were catching some bluegill there. It was not a pretty sight.

CZcams Veterinarian Its a public pond which is permitted for fishing. Its not a “goldfish pond”, as if it is defined as such. There just happens to be an invasive species (which shouldn’t be there) in that public water.
Regardless of that, who the hell even cares if hypothetically there was a species indicator on lets say, a fishing website saying “Goldfish are found in this pond”. Its a species of carp. Carp are fish. Fish are fished. I don’t care if I catch a Goldfish or a Bluefin. Im going to fight that fish and probably throw it back.

Really well handled, Extreme Philly Fishing. Good to see that one can make their point and still be respectful, courteous, and a great example. I think a discussion such as the way you handled it lays it all out bare for people to see clearly, and it's quite obvious that they did not have an argument that held much water (no pun intended). Some very clear bias was showing through, in my opinion, and it demonstrates how some people feel privileged enough to equate their own opinion with what is legal or not. ( i.e. I don't feel like leashing my dog, so that's ok, but I don't like seeing you here fishing, so that's not ok )
