400 yards offhand on a small balloon with a 22lr and an airgun is amazing, just seeing the impacts hitting so close each shot was awesome. Really enjoy these challenge videos with other influencers.
the call outs where confusing, lol. honestly. I started calling out for you. couldn't help it! Amazing shooting fellas! Let's hope it's not 7 more years before the next collab!
Firearms work with high temperature gases. Air guns use cold gases. When the hot gases enter the silencer, they cool down. This lowers their pressure. It is much more effective at reducing the muzzle blast. The other reason is the operating pressure. Firearms operate on low gas and high pressure. Air guns use a lot of gas and low pressure. Airguns therefore need a large inlet chamber in the silencer (at the same power as the firearm) Air weapons require a completely different silencer than firearms.
The 22 shot at 14:30, the dust goes left, then up, then right.... crazy wind! And, how dry is it that a 22 and air gun make that much dust at 400 yds?!
At 400 yards I can get 5 shots covered by 2 playing cards...from a prone position with a 30-06. These guys are shooting 400 from standing with a .22 and air rifle. Wow! I feel pretty shaky now.
@@tkfmw1192 yeah, I always report them. This happens a lot but as usual, CZcams does absolutely nothing to stop them no matter how often they are reported. Same with the sexbot posts. CZcams pretty much sucks.
Lol….I was loading up ammo at the store today. I opened up a box of CCI, and it was ‘strangers’! I remembered all the people giving you grief about pronouncing stingers as strangers. Yea, I box some boxes of them lol
I gotta say, the offhand shooting was great. I've gotten lazy shooting of a bench / rest so much. Gonna have to throw some more offhand into my regimen.
What I find really interesting is the fact that the 22lr from my ears using headphones sound quieter than the FX impact. I know they're both using suppressors of some sort, but I thought that the impact would have been quieter.
It's most probably not quieter. What you hear is very likely dynamic compression activated by the recording software which minimizes the sound from the much louder LR22 + can while it manages to record the airgun without utilizing the same dynamic compression. It's a similar mechanism to the one you'd find in Walker electronic ear protection devices
@@hypez604 I am not really disagreeing with you, but usually when that happens the audio cuts or changes it's a noticeable sound difference. I wish I was there to join the fun though.
@@wannabemgtow2540 The 22lr starts quiet but the sound lasts longer and gets a bit louder at the end. Indicating to me it's software. The air gun has a sharp quick sound. A PCP airgun (in low cal) is a bit loud without the suppressor but you dont need ears. FYI there is also no law on airgun suppressors - many PCP airguns come with them so you can shoot them in your residential areas/city backyard without the cops coming.
Wow bud, thats really fun, really live to see trick shots, thumbs up for both of you… rick is the one who inspired me n trickshots, i did some trickshots and posted on youtube too.. great video sir… lots of fun in there…
Amazing channel! I saw your request for trick shots and wondered if you've ever done these: drive nails through a board; light a match with a bullet; hit a target behind another object, using bullet drop to miss the first object; play jenga by removing blocks without causing the tower to fall; look at a target; blindfold yourself, then hit the target; hit a target using only sound cues; hit a pendulum bob; hit a pendulum bob that's only intermittently visible; open a plastic water bottle; using a spoon as a mirror, hit a target behind you;
Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Dogs and Cats.... THAT is the way to have some fun!! Outstanding Video. Thank You I just subscribed to Rick's channel. xCop
No he didn’t. He’s an actual competition shooter and by force of habit he kept wanting to give corrections. Rather then where bullet landed and it was confusing him. In competition 4 mils right means hold 4 mil right. Not impact was 4 mils right
Awsome shooting guys!!! Makes me wonder if my 25 cal Bullboss could do that. Definitely worth a shot.... Thanks guys!!! I enjoy watching your videos.... 😎
This was awesome any of those guns are very equal luck at this point nice shooting… I could not hold them heavy sobs up that long I own both was awesome man
@@nsboost And that price there is why most people doesn't know air rifles can do things like this. To a lot of people the idea of spending more on a PCP air gun than on a "real" rifle is ridiculous. But today there's more science and engineering put into these high end air rifles than rimfire rifles. So high investment costs means high prices and small volumes of high end air rifles being sold compared to rimfire rifles.
@@blahorgaslisk7763 I wish more people would understand that. A powder burning rifle is about the most simple mechanical device on the planet. You pull the trigger and a pin smacks the back of a cartridge. Very simple and far more expensive to operate in the long run.
@@michaeleighttimez2556 I’m sending 33.5g slugs at 1015fps with a stock impact with the TRS rail. You don’t NEED to spend all that money on the upgrades. And I use a accutac bipod on the bottom. Screw those stupid bipods that put the gun weight in the upper rail and barrel. I think that’s stupid and nearly nothing to gain with them. Airguns are more accurate in zero wind. The reason is you can control air psi easier than you can control powder psi - meaning you get more similar fps per shot with a air gun. The reason wind kills air guns more is the pellet/slug weighs less.
I have shot an old rusty shovel at about 400 yds with a .22 LR. The bullet won't even dent it. It just splattered like a tiny paint ball which was unexpected. I would've thought it would just hit and fall on the ground.
Great job but why are the scopes set so far off the rifle instead of being as close to the barrel as possible as I've always been taught. I'm sorry if it's a dumb question.
Those callouts must have been confusing😂

@@22plinkster it seems Oscar has trouble knowing left or right

It's because spotters are used to calling the correction to hit the target on the next round not where the last round landed.
