    Alfonso, a man who has directed one of the biggest franchises in the world, Hollywood super-stars, an Oscar nominated space adventure using innovating technology, etc. Has the guts and the boldness to direct an independent black and white mexican drama with no Hollywood stars or CGI just to pay tribute to the woman that raised him. WOW, that is something you don't see nowadays. That's pure and sincere storytelling. One of the biggest authors of our time! ¡VIVA CUARÓN, VIVA MEXICO!

My biggest insecurity back in the days was my accent but as years went by I started to realize that we’re all unique in this world so why trying to be somebody else just to fit in. So growing up in Orange County In California I had it tougher since people there were or still are very judgmental. But then I would see of our people that came from abroad like Shakira, Salma Hayek, Antonio Banderas just to mention a few and made it big in the states that kept me motivated to not give up...

      Creo es un poco debido a que el público mexicano se acostumbró a la factura Holliwoodense impuesta , al producto masticable, suave, con lindos rostros , es lo que vimos siempre en tv y cable, y en tiempo actual el cine nacional lo quiere emular ocasionando una abundancia de churros ,apuestan a lo seguro. En mi opinión después de la época de Oro se perdió la industria cinematográfica (con algunas excepciones) y la identidad del mismo , nos convertimos en espectadores fieles de lo que viniera de Hollywood por muchos años con retraso y las ficheras, afortunadamente no todo es malo por California y poco a poco se va reestableciendo el Cine nacional de calidad aunque compite con el churro pero bueno cada vez hay más acceso a otras opciones independientes y de Europa, Asia, el Oriente etc..., es fascinante ver como el mundo se expresa en sus formas más diversas.

      As for the Halcones. A small group of soldiers were sent for training to the US but it’s unclear where they ended up (police/military/halcones) though US coded cables sent after the massacre imply US involvement and the fear of that becoming public.

    Lamentablemente el público de México no tiene una tradición cinematográfica con historia de larga data, tiene éstos directores excelentes pero que han hecho sus carreras íntegramente fuera del país. Tal vez sea por eso que aún no logran conectar con la industria cinematográfica propia.

    • @5Cd2
      @5Cd2 Před 5 lety +17

      Bueno, no ha sido íntegramente; los comienzos de sus carreras fueron en México. Cuarón rodó en México "Sólo con tu pareja" y "Y tu mamá también", Del Toro "La invención de Cronos" e Iñárritu "Amores perros" y creo que algunas secuencias de "Babel". El problema es la poca disposición de los distribuidores en México a dar oportunidad al cine mexicano (los directores que se quedan en México pueden rodar una película cada cinco o siete años sólo para que sus películas se estrenen en un puñado de salas y duren una semana en cartelera y sin promoción alguna), la mala costumbre de considerar al cine como mero divertimento (lo que lleva a que mucha gente vaya al cine a evadirse y no esté dispuesto a ver una película que le exiga aunque sea un poco... aquí es posible conectar con los hábtios de lectura en México) y que por eso prefieran ver películas palomeras de superhéroes y, finalmente, la inseguridad: al papá de Del Toro lo secuestraron y Cameron (el de Titanic), amigo de Del Toro, sacó un millón de dólares en efectivo (Del Toro apenas comenzaba su carrera) y se los dio a su amigo mexicano para que pagase el rescate. El señor fue liberado pero nadie jamás fue atrapado. Después de eso, Del Toro sacó a su familia de México.

    • @dianiDIANIS
      @dianiDIANIS Před 5 lety +3

      @@5Cd2 Aha. Por eso de nuevo digo, es una lástima que no tengan una tradición de cine nacional. Porque tienen con qué. Gracias a la cercanía no sólo territorial sino del capital y distribución que pueden conseguir las respectivas productoras de éstos directores, etc.
      Es una pena que no apoyen su industria cinematográfica.

    • @karinadominguez8797
      @karinadominguez8797 Před 5 lety +7

      Lamentablemente es una mafia, en el cine mexicano siempre te vas a topar con "actores" que siempre son los mismos o sus parientes, (dervez e hijos, martha higareda, etc etc. )les importa poco el arte o entregar un buen trabajo, solo ganar dinero, es lamentable que tampoco se pueda tener grandes presupuestos para buenas cintas, pero ya con estos actores mejor lo piensas dos veces, siempre apelan a los refritos o a la comedia absurda de un mexico irreal, con situaciones irreales en fin, entiendo como estos genios del cine, cuaron, del toro, iñarritu, tuvieron que inmigrar, pero es la realidad un ejemplo es yalitza, este genio de cuaron vio talento e hizo maravillas, cuantos productores conoces que hagan este tipo de castings, para encontrar lo que realmente quieren.
