It takes a special kind of writer to turn Optimus Prime into a hypocritical asshole.
They seriously need to get a different director. Bay did alright with the first one, but the movies have been getting progressively worse. Hell, Age of Extinction spent more time talking about the laws surrounding sex with a minor than Arcee had screentime in RotF. And she is just one of several underutilized Autobots. And so many cool Decepticons have been made nothing but cannon-fodder. It's time for a reboot with a better class of director.

Ranking the speeches:
1. 2007 - iconic, tells the story of what the Autobots are going to do now, and leaves fans really eager for the sequel as we anticipate what new Autobots are coming. Even for newcomers it’s exciting to be prepared for what the future holds.
2. AOE - ominous, cool and epic threat to the Creators while reflecting on what’s been learned.
3. DOTM - Way too short, but it’s gentle and calm and a great comedown from the sheer horrors of the Battle of Chicago. A shame that at the time the ending was so quick.
4. TLK - Peter always gives it his all, and it’s really heartwarming to hear him ask everyone to come home. But it’s coming from the worst movie of the series and feeds into the utterly nonsensical approach to it.
5. ROTF - super short, thrown in there, pointless.

@@Depth217 just because it doesn’t give you a snippet of what’s gonna happen in the next movie it’s not entirely bad, it provides the audience a lot of questions and curiosity for the following film and i think it worked perfectly. Although ROTF had a lot of bad scenes the good ones stand out ALOT and makes the movie memorable.

The first is iconic and legendary but the sheer epic sound of New Divide in the background makes ROTF the best for me

Optimus totally had forsaken earth in 4. Until Mark Walberg told him not to
King Dippy Would you blame him? Those back-stapping bastards have hunted, persecuted and killed almost all his brothers and sisters. I think Optimus had every right to be pissed off. But then, thanks to Cade, he remember what humanity is still capable of be. So he choose to stand and fight not for what humans are but for what they can be.
Yeah but he kept saying he'd never abandon them before all that. And it was really just one secret government ops team that did all the bad stuff. He was gonna leave the good guys too. Some of which just weren't in this movie because of.... reasons.
