Looks like the DeFi ecosystem is no longer aiming to replace the current financial ecosystem but to merge itself into it. If this happens, there will be no change in the current status quo. SWIFT and the banks will keep dominating the financial landscape as they did for decades. I still love the technology behind projects like Chainlink, but I was hoping for a more radical change. Not only a change in the technology but a change in how society as a whole deals with money.
