I miss Dr. Maddow's nightly show, but these book-length studies make its loss worthwhile. I am old enough to have been around during the events of this podcast, but I had never heard a peep about it. Those who don't read history are condemned to relive it (Santayana).

I've heard historians change this mantra, correct themselves. They say that when ppl don't learn the lessons from their past "History doesn't repeat itself but it rhymes."
It's a very revealing history isn't it.
