    Loved the story of the “stolen purses” It is scary how many people think they can keep “stealing purses”(sinning) and they are automatically forgiven because of the cross.

    I'm so glad that I came upon this. This man of God is so real, I love it because he tell it like it is. We need more preachers like him. I am blessed to have a pastor who loves people but hates sin. He has signs and wonders following him. He's so anointed, a man of integrity.And Very humble.

    6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
    7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
    8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
    9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
    1 John 3: 9-9 KJV

    One can sin and sin again when he gives in to temptation. Some people need to be delivered of cerrtain things, especially that sin which so easily besets him. God is a God of love and He will forgive us of our sins and remember them no more; that sin is covered under the Blood of Jesus, God no longer remembers it; however, that does not give any of us a license to sin.

    He means those who persist in sin on purpose, who use grace as an excuse to sin, saying, I can continue in this sin willfully and just lean on God's grace. A believer cannot continue in a sin once the Holy Spirit has brought it to their attention and convicted them of it in sanctification. Once I became a believer, God chastened me severely for sins, and once he did, I couldn't do them anymore. I fell sometimes, but the punishment and chastening from God was and is severe.

  • @MinnieTyko
    @MinnieTyko Před 11 lety

    Perhaps my wording was wrong. But it does say in Hebrews that God disciplines his children. We who are saved are not eternally punished in hell, but we are chastened and disciplined and if we are not, then we are not true sons. Hebrews 12:8

    Paul didnt stuggle with sin. Romans 7 was paul talking about a man(possibly himself) preconversion under the conviction of the law, Paul said deliver the man to satan so he MAY be saved, not he would be saved certainly. Did you even read the verses i gave? i dont think you did. Paul say fornicators will NOT inherit the kingdom of God (1 cor 6:9) (Ephesians 5:5) (Hebrews 13:4) is he contradicting himself now? I think you should read those verses i gave and rethink your position based on the bible

None of the righteous things that person has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness(B) they are guilty of and because of the sins they have committed, they will die.(C)
    25 “Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’(D) Hear, you Israelites: Is my way unjust?(E) Is it not your ways that are unjust? 26 If a righteous person turns from their righteousness and commits sin, they will die for it; because of the sin they have committed they will die.

  • @Wunji1
    @Wunji1 Před 11 lety

    I think you read the scriptures with a slight bend. What about Matthew 19:26 which says ".... With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” If all things are possible with God, then why doesn't God do all possible things? If it is possible to do all things in Christ, then why aren't we doing everything that is entirely possible?

  • @Wunji1
    @Wunji1 Před 11 lety

    Well, if you are no longer sinning and have reached sinless perfection, then it logically follows that you are claiming to be without sin (sinful acts - not a sin nature)...

    The truth is that Christ Bled, Died, Resurrected and Ascended. It is here that we find that God revealed his power to deliver us from the grip of Satan and Sin Rom 6. It is here that you come to know God and Jesus Jn17:3. It is here that you see Adam crucified and CHRIST resurrected 1COR15:22. It is here that you come to be in a position of authority higher than Satan and his demons Eph2:6. It is here that you are positioned as a SAINT and no longer a SINNER 1JN3." BE HOLY AS I AM HOLY"!

  • @Wunji1

  • @Wunji1
    @Wunji1 Před 11 lety

    Human choice doesn't cease the moment God energizes the spirit. In reading your other posts you obviously believe that believers stumble, yet not sin every hour of every day. Well, I would agree. I think your idea of "go on sinning", and my idea of "go on sinning" are slightly different. When you begin to legalize the believers obligation towards holiness, you miss the spirit of the message....

  • @Wunji1
    @Wunji1 Před 12 lety

    The Holy Spirit is in every believer whether they are in sin or not. However, he is grieved when believers persist in sin (Eph.4:29-32).

  • @Wunji1
    @Wunji1 Před 11 lety

    Really? Tell that to Paul who struggled with his sin. Tell that to the man who was sleeping with his fathers wife, was excommunicated from the church, in 1 Cor. 5, and then Paul said that his spirit would be saved. Why would Paul command the church to judge this man, and in the very next few verses, tell them that we don't associate with the sexually immoral, but NOT meaning those of the world? That makes no sense now does it? Clearly this man was a believer, and Paul was judging him...

  • @Wunji1
    @Wunji1 Před 11 lety

    ...and I wasn't twisting your words. I was stating a logical conclusion from the phrase "no longer sinning after having been a sinner". It is impossible to "no longer sin" just as much as it isn't possible to continue in it. Any other conclusion misses the point...

  • @Wunji1
    @Wunji1 Před 11 lety

    I did not see your reply in this thread so I thought I would address it here anyway. Certainly, all things are possible in Christ. I don't think anyone is debating that. However, we who are saved do sin. Though I believe this verse is to non-believers, I think it applies to anyone - 1 Jn. 1-8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
    We don't live out Christianity through anecdotal stories...

  • @Wunji1
    @Wunji1 Před 11 lety

    Well, if I were a Calvinist, I would certainly think as you do. God said that He is not willing that any should perish, so why do people perish? Because of human volition. God doesn't cause His children to fall, but yet they fall. To say that only those who don't fall are God's children is the circular dementia of Calvinism to which you might be a follower. Just because you "don't like it" when people use certain words, doesn't make anything more or less, or at all true or not true...

  • @Wunji1
    @Wunji1 Před 12 lety

    Great preacher, and preaching, yet he is wrong about forgiveness. We cannot understand why, but Christ has forgiven all of our sin - past, present, and future. There is NO SIN that Christ did not forgive at the cross. If there is a sin not forgiven, then Christ must get back on the cross and sacrifice himself again because he left some sin out of His first sacrifice.

    So,is Ravenhill in favour of asceticism then? "Do you know why you need entertainment? Or any of us? You only need entertainment when you've lost the joy of the Lord. And when we've no joy we need entertainment. And when we've entertainment we've no joy." He makes several more statements to this effect. I can't clearly understand this as anything but a total rejection of private leisure including reading fiction, watching television, having a hobby, and playing sports. Is he really denouncing these things as having no place in the Christian life? Are we to have no past-times at all? I don't see this attitude in Scripture.
