      In my experience in watching couples dance, heavy and repetitive hard breathing and exhaling is not something enjoyable to hear. As mentioned, it is quite annoying. If they are doing a practice by themselves, that's fine. But if they are presenting, I hope he does not keep that in, it will look and sound like a breathing competition. He is not exuding art and musicality when he does that ... - Yulia's dancing though was beautiful, heartfelt, artistic, graceful.

      @@Moonrise361 For my part, it helps to practive _when_ to breath in order to increase dynamic in movement. You have to do it very loud and consciously. When presenting, the music is quite loud, hopefully. ;-)

      MarkUnderseeen- Well, sure, whatever suits the dancer, if one prefers doing so, fine. But the thing is, when a dancer does that, even if the viewers don't hear the breathing because of the music, there ends up being less artistic expression. The dancer is so used and so intent on putting his energy into that characteristic, that he foregoes some part of artistic expression, instead of giving the maximum on it. Maybe the breathing could be done in practice to practice some musicality and tempo with the movements, but not while dancing to present. :-)

    Just otherworldly. I lose time when I watch them dance. When I watch her I see influences of Joanna leunis. She is technically perfect with so much sensuality, femininity, awareness,drama and speed. Ferdinando is the perfect match for her. He is part of a legacy of strong Italian male dancers like Ricardo, Stefan, mirko, Maurizio, Nino, Sandro who just make everything look flawless, effortless and fun

    I can understand the critisms for the heavy breathing but as this is a practise session I can overlook it as I don't see this in their performances. They will be a great addition to the pro field and I suspect they will cause a few anxious moments to their more seasoned opponents and I can see more than a few upsets on the cards. Interesting times ahead.

      Im really excited ro see how things play out at UK open and the breathe thing most people dont realize we just cant normally hear that over the loud ballroom speakers. Thats what gives movement a more natural look in the extemded postions that are created during dancing.

  • @Moonrise361
    @Moonrise361 Před 4 lety +3

    He is breathing hard or exhaling too much, too often. Annoying to hear. And it sounds like he is focusing on technique only instead of feeling the music and the art, or like he is performing some kind of sport where he has to breathe hard often. I think it would be wise to loose that habit.

      ChinAk- Wow, you are rude.

    • @chinak1496
      @chinak1496 Před 4 lety +1

      Moonrise361 if you studied ballroom or Latin dancing you would know that this type of breathing is totally acceptable and even taught. There’s no problem with this, particularly when they are rehearsing or practising. You don’t always have to criticise for the sake of criticising, especially if you have limited knowledge of what you’re criticising

    • @Moonrise361
      @Moonrise361 Před 4 lety

      ChinAk- Oh, and you are rude AND condescendent too! You presume to know my knowledge of dancing?I am not about to tell you my 'resume' here, I am perfectly aware that it is a practice technique. As I said, do it in practice and hopefully not while presenting officially. It automatically focuses too much on the breathing otherwise and less on the artistic expression, and the heavy sound can be annoying. - So you are saying that an untrained viewer (not me in this case) could not have an opinion? Who are the dancers dancing for? Other highly trained dancers only? There are all kinds of spectators or viewers when they do a presentation. Regardless of their trained level, the visual and sound for the viewer is what is important in the end.

    • @chinak1496
      @chinak1496 Před 4 lety

      Moonrise361 you never said do it in practice, your first comment was an [unnecessary] criticism of breathing. I’m not saying not to have an opinion but your opinion is not required everywhere.
