Breaking My Knuckles in Earthbender VR | RUMBLE

- I've been playing video games for 21 orbits around this giant ball of plasma, and few games are as good as RUMBLE. The controls, the gameplay, the community, I love almost everything about this game. So, I wanted to talk about my experience with it.
Music: Japan - Uniq - Hry
This is a prime example of the CZcams algorithm failing miserably, an amazing video with only 57 views?!? This content is better than half the stuff on the internet. I hope rumble gets popular and more people start playing this game, it is really hard to find a match. Thank you for making this video!
The CZcams algorithm is not the best, but for me, 57 views in 24 hours is pretty good. But then again, even 10 views is doing numbers, in my eyes.
I should say something about sharing my videos with friends and family, but I consistently forget to. It's still optional, like everything else I said in the outro, but greatly appreciated all the same.
@@kogra9805 Hey! It's now 2.2k!
@@SleepySkull1 It is, indeed. It seems like the algorithm pushed the video to many people's homepage, and it skyrocketed.
Thank you, all of you. This has been the best performing video I've made, and I never thought it'd go this far.
Maybe the CZcams algorithm isn't that much of a failure.
They need to add it to quest
@@leoneljoseph6357 Last I checked, it is on the quest store. I've even met some great people from the quest version.
I love the community of rumble. People are just nice to play with. Just the simple fistbump and thumbs up before ant after a match are such a nice gesture. Absolutely the opposite of the COD lobbies we are used to from a long time ago.
RUMBLE is still the opposite of a lot of communities. Kinda nice to find a diamond in the rough.
Even though I never dealt with classic toxic CoD lobbies, I kinda almost miss the games. Too bad I suck at CoD, though.
I was taught speed disc in my first-ever match by a yellow belt. In my first match as a yellow belt, I taught a white belt speed disc. I think the cycle of teaching in this game is so amazing, and although some people don't have voice chat (me included, i can't get it to work), you are able to teach and communicate with only gestures
In my first match, someone taught me the bullet disk and in my third match, I had the pleasure of passing that knowledge on to another player. The creativity and collaboration, even while trying to be competitive, is simply incredible.
If you go to any real martial art dojo, you will experience a similar thing
I recently started at a jiu jitsu dojo, and I was taught the Kimura, a couple of weeks later I am now teaching others the same move
Ruble vr is incredibly realistic when it comes to a "martial" art if that makes any sense
Just started the game. my first game was against a black belt he immediately saw I was very new and taught me (with no mic) how to correct my form and how to push blocks. He then showed me some other moves I would learn later and we had a good 1v1. Oc I got destroyed but he helped a lot and I have a strong drive to play the game now knowing I will soon be able to jump around, dash, spawn large walls and blocks and throw them.
Yeah, VR is amazing for this kinda stuff, you may be mute but still get the gist from gestures
The VR gaming side of youtube need more people that are just passionate about the games they play and not just always critical and analytical. I'm glad to have found this channel.
I appreciate you saying that, really. I hope you stick around and watch some of my other videos. It's genuinely fun to make videos, and I want to keep going.
A few things I have to say about this video
Firstly, this was an incredible video. Not something like Shoeless or Habie, but a unique style on its own. Something calming, yet exciting and fun to watch. Earned a subscribe from me!
7:28 - It's pretty common etiquette among some of the better players to use the same moves as the belt below when fighting them, but me personally, I would also offer to teach them moves based on their skillset. However, I wouldn't be afraid of stomping them if they so request.
And finally, don't be afraid to keep training and fighting. It's only through sheer hard work, skill and a touch of talent to become a top player. Every battle, win or loss can teach you something new, so don't give up on this journey, and I'll see you in the ring.
This was a brilliant vid, recently ive been looking at getting into playing rumble, and this video really shows why its fun :) thank you
I bought this game but never played it. I'm going to start playing next week, be gentle with me sempais. I will become a black belt one day.
Speaking for the entire community, we welcome you with open arms.
A quick tip to help: Don't strike hard. You'll wear yourself out if you try and put force in your moves. Focus on getting the moves right. "Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast."
Keep training and fighting, and you'll earn your black belt. Train your basic moves and structures until they're like breathing. Train your specials until they're second-nature to perform. And most importantly, train to understand yourself; your strengths, your weaknesses, your openings, your flaws--understand all of them, and you will be unstoppable.
@kogra9805 I love the video man,
Something to note on this, what your saying is what martial artist say, the same thing almost exactly.
I'm in a jiu just dojo, and have been told by my coach almost the exact same thing. This martial art analysis of this game is gold. From the progression to the skill difference between a new black belt and a seasoned veteran
The way this video is formatted revealed this to me: the game and its community is literally just a martial art played out in a video game
luckily holiday season has fixed matchmaking for me, and its been fun getting into it since there are so many other people ive matchmade with who are also just learning the game. hopefully that sticks around a bit, its been very fun :)
Yo a friends of mine told me about you (said he was your friend) and damn i really enjoy your videos already keep up the great work bud ^^
I would pretty much do the same as you in a situation where I meet a white belt.
7:42 use the same moves for 1 game, teach speed disk and some pillar tech in the second and maybe show off some cool moves
I really want to be able to get into VR and play this game. I hope, whenever it is that I manage to get a headset, that this game and its community will still be alive and kicking(more punching in this case).
Thank you for going through your experience with the game, it gave me another peek into this awesome game.
Great video! Very chill and relaxed, and you effectively communicated and shared your experiences. I've been thinking about this game a lot lately and I can't wait to get started after this semester ends...
Rumble
Great video!
US-East has had pretty good player counts atm. 60+ players and fast queues.
god this is such a heartwarming video. It's not much but you've got a sub from me and i really hope you find some larger success on youtube soon
I honestly like fire the best (because imagine being able to unlock lightening powers)
if I'm meeting a white belt I take my skills down to theirs, and teach them how to speeddisk, perfectly even.
Oh also teach them why the guard stone SUCKS
I am a white belt and have faced a black belt, they did the exact same as you did, I felt bad for wasting their time tho😅
Any black belt should feel obliged to help white belts ^_^
Teach the pebbles our ways
0:30 ok bro stop glazing
I still standby what I said. Habie is genuinely hilarious and entertaining.
@@kogra9805 yeah, but you really laid it on 😭
Haha got jumpscared by seeing TheHippyGamer- dude's CRACKED
Absolutely. The man's a menace to fight. Nothing but respect.
@kogra9805 For real, Ive only ever taken, like, one game from him
the music was great and the script was good, my only complaint is the gameplay with audio near the beginning was kinda loud but overall really good 👍keep it up
I appreciate the feedback.
I agree, I should've lowered the audio levels in the gameplay bit. Normally, I do lower the dB range for gameplay, but I guess I was too tired to notice.
@@kogra9805 I still really enjoyed the video though 👍
@@Orphan_Obliterator_ Looking at other comments, it seems everyone did. But, reading it myself makes me feel proud.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. And for telling me, too. It really makes me feel happy and proud.
@@kogra9805 I can’t wait to see your upcoming content
@@Orphan_Obliterator_ Glad to hear it. Although, I have a major problem. My PC is highly unstable. I'm currently working to aquire the solution, but for now, I'm gravely delayed on videos.
If it helps, do turn on all notifications. I post a video on Saturdays, so expect it then.
Gonna try and play this thru virtual desktop on my quest 2, I have a pc that’s definitely good enough for it just worried a bit about the quests tracking since the game requires such precise movements.
In my experience running it without virtual desktop, it's quite accurate and snappy. If it helps, do it, by all means, but it's not a requirement.
Still, I wonder if it would help...
@@kogra9805 do you mean running it with pcvr or with oculus link?
@@jacobafterdark5258 I've just done PCVR, and it works well. I should try airlink, but all of the footage was shot in PCVR.
@@kogra9805 nah airlink is much worse than virtual desktop, just to clarify tho I wanted to know if you knew the differences between pcvr, oculus link with a quest, and virtual desktop with a quest. Though it seems like you only play with pcvr which makes sense.
Anyways, I bought the game and played thru steam vr and virtual desktop and it’s awesome, hits are registering and the game doesn’t studder (for anyone else trying make sure to use default options in virtual desktop as the game kinda breaks if you change things.) I am now happily failing to make a disc mid combat lol.
Any suggestions for getting started, and on early matching and stuff? I'm worried I won't be able to find enough people to play with to really get into it T__T
US-East has the largest listing of players.
Train your most basic moves, and practice the special moves I talked about, until it's like breathing. Start slow, and don't strike with your poses. You've got plenty of time to spawn structures.
When you feel you're finally ready, I started 1 rank above, but any rank gives you higher chances.
@@kogra9805 amazing! Will do!! Any idea roughly how long matching should take during prime time? And can you really ever get matched at off-hours?
@@jc4190 It's not too active, but you should only have a few minutes at most to wait. I like to train for a bit, then match while taking a breather.
i can't find it on quest 2....
It is on the Quest 2, I assure you. I've met some people from the Q2 version. I don't think they've taken it down or something...
Its only available on PC @@kogra9805
You need to airlink to a pc to play.
ok I only have one problem with this video. your useing guard stone. id highly recommend not useing it and just purring up a wall or something.
I'm still mixed on the Guard Stone. It's good to use when you're getting disc spammed, but I usually forget to use it.
All shiftstones are viable to use, but it's how you use and combine them that matters. I'm okay saying I need more time and training.
