Hospitality has taken such a battering over the past few years. It’s great to see some places still thriving. My sort of food that. Bit pricey but it’s not something you’ll eat every day.
Was there only a few months back sat at the very same table. We all had the honeyed belly pork which was very nice indeed and the skin on fries were bloody lovely never tasted anything like it. Used to love in Bingley about 6 years ago but want to get back there at some point when me and the misses can find a suitable place.
Lovely Deano, you placed Bingley on the Map. All I knew was it was half of a once famous Building Society. Only 7 miles to Haworth from the Pub to visit Bronte country. Cheers.
Looked a cracking gastro type pub. Tim Taylors do some cracking beer and as its the brewery tap it looks like there was a massive choice. Pie and veg looked lovely Deno, but as you say, if it had a pastry lid and mustard mash it was a massive 10/10. A little pricey but defo quality.
A quality meal, Deano! I've never tried game before, but I'm game to try it! Although it does sound a bit pricey. So I might have to go on the game to afford it. Either that or I just save up. Anyway, another great review! 👍

I think everywhere is really expensive these days tbh. I’d rather pay more and really enjoy it over pay a bit and it be rubbish. I think we will definitely be taking a trip in the near future. However, we have bradfield brewery in Sheffield with their tap called the nags head. They have for us the best pie, peas, chips and gravy going plus you get a pint too. I recommend if your out our way to try it and they have carling for the non real ale drinkers 😂

That pie looked decent with the gravy and veg. But I agree about them padding out the pie with more carrots; that was not good! They should either add more mash or more meat. If I have half a plate of veg, the last thing I want inside my pie is more veg! I know potato is a vegetable but you know what I mean.
If you're doing food reviews, they should always be based on price as well-£18 for a pie and £5.60 for a pint, is super expensive for anyone. This should affect the overall score. We can't keep letting everyone get away with crazy prices for everything.
I can’t see why he should include the price in the food score,he said over,and over he thought it was expensive,so why lower the score of the food,Good food is good food price has nothing to do with the taste of the food.I think a person doing a review has the responsibility to make sure that people know if the food is expensive,or cheap,but as I said the taste has nothing to do with price.
Let's say you go to a pub in one town and pay £15 for a chicken burger, and then you go to another town and pub and pay £7 for the same meal. Both chicken burgers are excellent. Which one would you choose? Price is all-important in restaurant reviews. It's just silly to say it's not.

Its an issue but it is not reflective on the taste of the food. I clearly say numerous times it is a bit pricey, but i gave the score on the taste. If you can't afford it, it doesn't matter either way as you won't be going.

Went to see James at Bingley calling years ago. Myrtle park you mentioned. Pie looked good to me and it’s normal to add a bit of veg. You get what you pay for. Nice place. Thanks for the honest videos.
Over 30 years ago I was going out with a lass from that area, so it’s a while since I went for a jar at those pubs. My kind of grub, that. We used to hate it when the loons from Keefli rocked up the Ferrands since they were just looking for bikers to fight with.
Landlord, Boltmaker, Knowle Spring, Dark Mild, Landlord Dark and Golden Best. One of Yorkshire's, if not the country's. finest award winning breweries four miles away. Trademark display of pumps on the bar. Dismissed. Loved the in-depth demonstration of the condiment sachets though.
I showcased what was on offer, but there is no point me buying a pint of Real Ale when I know I don't like it. It would be unfair to the beer if I said it was horrid.

It is great to see Yorkshire portions haven't changed since the cost of living issues, though i suspect that veg came as frozen - the colours are a bit light that is all. The gravy looks perfect and glistening in the light but not reminiscent of red currant but I may be wrong . With such a busy road outside, forgive me joking that the 'game' might be roadkill off the road?
A bit mean putting carrots in the pie at that price although I once got a steak pie at place near Barnsley and the main filling was peas and a bit of steak the size of my little finger. Game pie a no no for me on ethical lines and also the risk of lead contamination as game is usually shot with lead ammunition.

A homemade massive wedge of steak and ale pie with chips, and veg and gravy is 12.50 in my local pub. The meat just melts in your mouth. The chips are thrice cooked and its gorgous. Your pie seemed a little expensive and not made on sight, It looks like water crust pastry which is always a giveaway that its brought in from elsewhere.. For what you got it was expensive.. My wedge was nearly 3 quarters of a pie using puff pastry. Well worth the 12.50 price.
Ok fair enough I had a go at you for having an English breakfast in Greece but why are people hating on you for drinking Guinness, Guinness is fantastic, ok it’s better in Ireland but it’s still good in England, I don’t get the hate on Guinness, as long as you don’t do a bald foodie guy and get drunk fall down a hill and break your jaw like he did
I love Guinness. I can drink lagers as well but I really can't drink Real Ales, so it would be wasted on me. In my opinion there is no point me getting a drink I know i don't like as it wouldn't be a fair review
The pie to me was a disappointment. For Yorkshire it was well overpriced. You say it was delicious, it may well have been, but the portion size for the price - no way.
Fish and chips is a two man job............yes, for two 85 year old men! 😆😆😂 I have to confess that pie looked delicious. Come down south to Berkshire and you'll find that £18 for a pie is the norm! 🤢😵💫😱

Ok fair enough I had a go at you for having an English breakfast in Greece but why are people hating on you for drinking Guinness, Guinness is fantastic, ok it’s better in Ireland but it’s still good in England, I don’t get the hate on Guinness, as long as you don’t do a bald foodie guy and get drunk fall down a hill and break your jaw like he did
I love Guinness. I can drink lagers as well but I really can't drink Real Ales, so it would be wasted on me. In my opinion there is no point me getting a drink I know i don't like as it wouldn't be a fair review
@@JustDeano if you don’t like real ales it’s just personal preference don’t worry about it, stick to the Guinness it’s better for you than lager

The pie to me was a disappointment. For Yorkshire it was well overpriced. You say it was delicious, it may well have been, but the portion size for the price - no way.
Maybe a bit steep, but the setting is lovely, and it was delicious. Its a popular spot, so not all us Yorkshire folk are tight fisted haha
Fish and chips is a two man job............yes, for two 85 year old men! 😆😆😂 I have to confess that pie looked delicious. Come down south to Berkshire and you'll find that £18 for a pie is the norm! 🤢😵💫😱
