- Today we go and buy my uncles abandoned 1987 Yamaha Banshee 350cc
this atv was left sitting for years due to a injury and me and Rob got a chance to go pick it up and buy it and get it running! Please like and subscribe for more videos like this!
No dry rot on the tires. Chain isn’t rusty. Like an inch
of dirt underneath the tarp. Started in 3 kicks, not primed either. That bike for sure hasn’t been sitting over 3 years, man. Keep your videos honest and they’ll go a longer ways.
Tires don’t dry rot in 3 years. 3 years is not long. I just pulled out my Lt250r that has been sitting for 2 years and it looked cleaner than this and it fired up almost just as easy.
This kid is full of shit. Some of the parts on that bike weren’t even made in 1987 . That thing is in immaculate condition . It’s all for views
@@dirtbagian i can personally say that i just fired up my 1993 yamaha WR200 Trail bike after it sat in my shed for 4 years, same fuel couple of kicks with choke and she fired up straight away, 2 days later i took it for a rip on the same set of tyres i rode on 4 years previous, if the bike is maintained well and not exposed to direct sunlight the tyres/ graphics hold up surprisingly well!, i live in the uk BTW keep hunting for those finds brother

He was usually really good at storing stuff, i’m pretty sure he drained the gas out of it before putting it away

It’s a two stroke, the oil in the gas keeps the seals wet, if you run the carb dry of gas when you park it… bazinga

cool banshee and very nice condition. mine was quite a bit worse when i got it. also found from my uncles barn for 500 when i was 13

The Plastics are cut there's dust all over everything that doesn't look anywhere near brand new I don't know what it's so hard to believe about this

that's how i got my banshee. The guy i got mine from, rode it for less than an hour when it threw him off and he broke is back. It sat in his basement for 10 years until i heard about it and picked it up. Absolutely showroom new.
I was given a old j arm banshee with a frozen engine and no good plastics starting to buy parts picked a 421cc big bore kit new plastics . You guys have a good buy cool have fun.it’s going to take a while to get mine going have fun

Definitely nothing wrong with his compression , just needs carb tuning ! It started in three kicks no choke lol compression is not a factor and the bike was sitting 3 years💯 you have a steal my guy🙌🏾

If you got that for $1000 it was an absolute steal. Over here in the UK people are asking $10,000 or more for a nice Banshee. Not so many to choose from. It looks to be in very tidy condition for a 'project'. Rescue those two Honda 3 wheelers too. They used to be fun before manufacturers got cold feet and stopped making them because so many people got hurt/killed off them.

I had a 1985 250R they got better right to 1986 when they were outlawed here. One of the craziest production bikes they ever sold to the public imho. Try to get it too :D

I also got a "barn find" banshee was sitting out back of a guys house for 2 years engine was locked had a hornets nest in the airbox no coolant ended up gettin it for $1000 took it apart and the left side piston was blown up, im currently rebuilding it now
