- Welcome to a long awaited video where I walk y'all through how I am budgeting for moving within the same state/city. I am probably over-budgeting for this, but that is how I prefer it! Watch me breakdown my goals into specifics and see how much we have left to stuff to meet all my goals by the end of next month (March 2022)! I hope this gives you some good ideas in case you are also budgeting for a move!

Thanks for being part of my journey! If you're new here: I get paid monthly, but I stuff my envelopes weekly (even my sinking funds). This helps keep me motivated & on track with my goals, so I hope you enjoy! I started my journey in August 2020. I paid off $2,714.62 in 2020, with $2,600.27 of that going towards my credit card debt, & I plan to pay off ALL my credit card/consumer debt before the end of 2021!!

About Me
My name is Kristin, and I am on a debt payoff journey to eliminate my consumer debt before the end of 2021. My next goal will be to pay off my student loans! I hope you'll follow me on my journey where we can learn & grow together on our quest for financial wellness & intentional living.
It's so refreshing to watch some one else run as many numbers and scenarios as I do when I plan for things :) No one else understands except for budget people lol
We stan the plan A, plan B, plan C, and Plan D hahaha
It seemed like such a large goal and them it turned out to be so accessible. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Right? I was SHOCKED
I love to see you brake it down two different ways. Super helpful to make an informed decision!!
first of all, i'm so excited you are in a place where you can do this!! so exciting!!! second, just recovered from covid for a SECOND time so im glad to watch this to remind me to stay on track
@therin hope you are feeling better
Good Luck with moving! You can always start searching now for furniture to get ideas. I am hoping I am done with moving. I’m over it haha
This was really inspiring 🙂 I don't know how it works in your country, but I would need to do a separate deposit (one - two months worth of rent) and still pay for the first month of rent. I'd get the deposit back when I move out if the apartment was in good shape. That would mean that I would have to save for double rent for April. 🙂
Love to watch the digital planning. I’m so old school - pen & paper. Looks like you have some good plans. I see the comments mention how expensive movers and other fees were for them- I do agree… especially for renting a house vs apt. Good luck with everything! Excited for your journey and not working in your bedroom lol- my life too.
Yeah I mentioned to some other ppl that I always move myself!! I’ll only pay for someone to move my couch if anything
I really needed this video this month. I am in a bit of a different position. I am buying a condo and will hopefully move in by St Patrick's Day. I have just got in contact with a realtor who has helped my parents buy and sell their last few houses. This has kind of came as a surprise, but it is still exciting.
That’s awesome!! Congrats!!
As someone that is in the process of moving…. Deposits and fees need to be closer to $2000.00 to cover security deposits, first months rent and application fees. Your might need to also think about deposits for utilities. I would save a minimum of $5,000.00 minus the bed.
I’m renting from someone I know and they told me it’ll be a $500 deposit for me!!
So glad you are moving with your boyfriend 😍. Love your planning as always. IKEA have some nice desks, inexpensive and minimalistic. ❣️
I’m definitely going to go with Ikea!!
I love your digital planner and it's a smart to get ahead of the game especially when you're going to move.
My lifestyle is very different so moving is very different for me but I still have to budget for it. I'm currently aggressively saving for my move to Alaska at the end of April.
I AM SUPER LATE BUT I AM HERE SIS!!
FIRST I AM SO HAPPY THAT YOU DID THIS VIDEO I AM SO INVESTED EVERYTIME YOU SET A GOAL TO BUDGET FOR SOMETHING!! IT IS SO FUN TO SEE YOU REACH ALL YOUR GOALS!
SECOND I CHUCKLED WHEN YOU SAID "LATE 20'S" AFTER OUR CONVERSATION LOL 🤣 I SCARED YOU DIDNT I LOL STARTED CHANGING YOUR SLOGAN LOL 🤣🤣.
Okay now I am even more obsessed that you did multiple scenarios!!! GREAT VIDEO SIS👏🏾💯
Lmao our late 20s convo had me dying. Love you gal
@@IntentionalLivingYT🤣🤣🤣 NO LONGER LATE 20'S 🤣🤣 I love you to chica ☺️ I cannot wait to see you accomplish this budget 💪🏽💯
This was an amazing video. We hope to move back into a house in a few months so this is so helpful.
Good luck finding a place! Hope it all works out
I hired movers to move from one apartment to another within the same complex and it cost me $600
I usually move myself so I don’t plan to pay for more than just pay a few college kids to move my couch haha
If you use UHAUL and go online they have a tab where you can hire from on there my amount was about $200-235$ I don’t remember but you can choose how much you want to spend and I went to grocery stores for my moving boxes. Dollar tree and Target and some other places here and there
Great video love the digital planner
Grear video
800$ a month i would kill for at this point :,)
Such a great informative video!!
That was very helpful. Thanks
Awesome breakdown!! 💜🦖
You should know these fees before budgeting cause you might budget to less ofc budgeting over is good but just call the leasing office then make a budget. Just tips I’ve learned
I’d rather make the budget first so I can save early and over budget as needed!
@@IntentionalLivingYT I’m here to watch and for it to grow❗️❗️❗️
This is so awesome! I’m so excited to see what life brings for you! I know you can achieve your aspirations and goals! I hope you have your own place! Are you moving in with your boyfriend? ❤️
That’s the plan!!
I’m also moving this year! I don’t want to think about the moving costs though hahah
Also if Yk where you want to go you should call and the leasing agent for the amount application fee and amount for administration fee and deposit and others fees so you know for sure what you have to save
I do not know where I’m moving yet so I have to guess
@@IntentionalLivingYT ok well great hun. You’re on the right track
Great video ♥️
Great video ✨
Today that same rent is $1,300
$800 a month for a house is crazy cheap. Does that mean you will have roommates that you are splitting the rent with?
Yes!!
Hi! I am new to your channel and I am absolutely obsessed with your ipad planner! Just out of curiosity, what app do you use?
GoodNotes!
Where do you live? $800/mo to rent a house is amazing... but nonexistent in Miami, FL 😢
I have questions.
Where is this magical place where the prices are so low? $800/month rent for a whole house with an office seems really low. My rent is more than twice that and I share a 2BR/2BA apartment. $200 won't get much in the way of furniture. $200 for movers and a truck seems low as well.
Also, why not just write this down and store the money digitally instead of stuffing actual cash which is not secure? It could be lost in a natural disaster or theft but you could just keep track of the organization and transfer it to a savings account each week.
I pay half the rent; my partner pays the other half! I already have furniture so $200 would get me well on my way to buying any new furniture I might need from Facebook Marketplace (buying used saves so much money). I don’t pay for movers and you can get a U-Haul for real cheap!
I have a weather proof, fire proof safe so I like cash stuffing because the money isn’t sitting in my account making me think I can spend it. I condense my envelopes every month and that money to the bank and use placeholders so it works for me. Do what works for you
@@IntentionalLivingYT Ah, makes sense now, sort of tricking yourself. Good for you for budgeting so well. There are ways you could make it grow while it sits in secure accounts, as well. $1600 for a 2BR place anywhere in the US is still a great deal!
Wasn't bed calculated for 5/1? So doesn't it have to be changed for the 3/31 sheet? Sorry I might of misunderstood. Great video.
💜
I should be asleep, but I am no- so let's see what Kristin is up to LOL
Love. You. Friend. 🤍🤍
If you hire movers you might want to increase the budget. I moved a year and a half ago and paid almost $600.
I’m just going to pay a few college students to move my couch! I usually move myself :)
@@IntentionalLivingYT that’s smart. I wish I had that option. Great video I am in a couple months and was thinking about doing a moving budget video.
@@NotJustABudget yeah I’m lucky because I don’t have lots of heavy furniture yet!
800 dollars for rent? I wish I'm in California near LA and the cheapest is 1750.
Yeah it’s $1,500 for my place but I split it with my boyfriend
I think you'd be hard pressed to find a home rental in Raleigh for 800 a month? I assume you are looking outside of the Raleigh area? Just want you to be in a safe area :)
I’m going to be in Raleigh!! That’s my price with a roommate (so really it’s $1600!)
🥰
