It's actually a wrong quote. If I fall seven times and stand up seven times, I end up standing. (If I fall down once and then get up once, I am standing.) So if I stand up eight times, then that means I stood up from a standing position.

When asked to give 110% sometimes you have to do a little extra to get passed that 8% to 9% and finally the 110%.

The badminton situation I always thought was kind of dumb. They were exploiting the rules of the game to their advantage. I dont think not trying is against the rules and if the tournament organizers put everything together in a way that rewards bad play then that's on the organizers, not the players

I think it’s that they had the choice to choose any opponent. One of the strongest team chose to go against one of the weakest team. The Stronger team wanted to relax a bit and didn’t actually try thinking they would win. I don’t think that they actually cheated but it wasn’t that really good. I hope this kind of answers your question.
