    I need to find the drain valve on mine and check it regularly. I haven’t had problems yet but that’s probably just dumb luck. Thanks for the tip

    Watch the project farm video on fuel additives. The regular power service additive in the silver bottle is the best. The red one is just for ice.

    I had the exact same problem last week and I fuel at flying J. Those black particles look hard like rust etc but if you touch them they disintegrate I replaced my filter 3 times and put holes in the fuel to clear water.truck still doesn’t run as good as it did but is getting better.

    My truck started accelerating really sluggish after filling up almost instantaneously. After about 35 mph it wont go beyond 20 rpms until i get to max speed and it hesitates from time to time. I drained my fuel seperator and found some water but A LOT of black debri. I guess I got a bad batch. Im currently using some additives and draining the fuel water separator. Its getting better but its still pretty rough. Praying everything clears up.

    Can you help us build a manual fuel pressure gauge but also a way to manually pressurize the system

    Hey diy, is it difficult to install one of these water separators on a trk that doesn't have it? I have the old style fuel filters (2) but they don't have the transparent filter like here

    • @DIYSEMI
      @DIYSEMI  Před rokem

      Not hard at all. Assume one of your filters is a water separator already? You can plumb it in there

    • @Montoya1991
      @Montoya1991 Před rokem

      @@DIYSEMI im thinking it's the primary filter that seperates water but if it hooks right up then all I would need is a clamp to bolt it on the frame. With fuel beign sky high ,im assuming some companies will put fillers in fuel and its better to catch it b4 it damages the injectors

    That is terrible. It goes to show tankers aren't reporting water in the tanks before depositing. Aside from ruining the motor, you paid for diesel and didn't receive pure gallons or anticipated efficiency.

    One solution: Use a clear cup before you fill your tanks at the pump
    Two: have a higher fuel tank pickup
    There's a colored paste you can buy. That will change color when water hits it. Take a wood yard stick, put the paste on the end . Then stick it in your fuel tank to see how much water is on the bottom.
    Check out : Gasoila regular water finding paste
