Meanwhile the developers during Dark Carnival: The saferoom is 5 meters away, but let's place a 2 m tall fence so that they have to turn on a Carousel, go all the way through a rollercoaster and then go through the barns and activate a gate with an infinite horde. So sad they can't jump those fences like every common zombie does

TAS is not a bot, they run the game at low speed and control frame by frame and rerecord if they make a mistake, that was a tipical TAS movie
traditional TAS tools are not available for source such as savestates (at least for l4d2 anyway) so they do need to plan this out very carefully
well, they're not really in that scene at that time. they are using a script to do it.
