      @Didda Loha Bengal tiger has totally different ecosystem from that of Caspian tiger ( which was seen in Iran). Siberian tiger is much suitable for Iranian conditions. Iran had asked Russia for Siberian tiger to reintroduce in 2010s .
      As far as I know Iran didn't asked India for tigers . But they asked for Asiatic lion in exchange of giving asiatic cheetahs. But India declined that offer due to reluctance from Gujarat.

Hope this ruling dispensation will not disappoint the nature & wild life lovers, but it would have been better if they would reintroduce Asiatic cheetahs rather than African. • @nishchaypallav
      @nishchaypallav Před 3 lety +3

      Asiatic cheetah's numbers are already too low. Unfit and too risky for reintroduction in any place. If its saved in Iran itself that would be a big deal. Also when its population over there was in good numbers, fit for reintroduction, Iran govt didn't want it to be sent to India. Africa has good number of Cheetahs hence the risk can be taken with African species. So please do some research, things don't happen just because we think it should happen that way. Real world is different.

      its not the left or right wing thats responsible..

    In Africa, if an area has to be reintroduced with tigers and cheetahs then first smaller cats like cheetahs are reintroduced. After a couple of years when they establish a territory, larger cats like Tigers were reintroduced.
    So Kuno Palour should reintroduced Asiatic Lions a couple of years after reintroduction of cheetahs. 😁

    The Lions of Gir forest are also in grave danger and must be moved to other locations and protected regions around in India on an urgent basis. Having an entire population in one location makes no sense and poses a great risk to their survival. The Gir Lions and Cheetahs share the same semi arid lands.

    08:39 That's a big misinformation, coz currently LIONS are not there in Kuno, for sure. There are plans n suggestion for their relocations. but nothing has been implemented as of now. Also, I think tigers are also not there, but I'm not totally confirmed on their presence. But yeah Lions are definetly absent.

    Everybody thank the (native) people of Africa, not acting like barbaric animals. It would be great to re-introduce the cheetah into other parts of Asia (India). But most likely it would be the African cheetah because there is not enough Asian cheetahs. Also it’s interesting that all the big cats in Asia are in Africa except the tiger. And it had nothing to do with people.

    So we had failed to do negotiations with Iran after 1952 to get Asiatic Cheetah similar to our Indian extinct Cheetah and are basically compromising with the one from Africa!! Well, it's better to get one for owning nothing at all. It's an appreciative move by the Indian Governments back then and the current one for not dismissing the project.
