    Great as always Dr Kahook.
Some lessons I’ve learned from FHI patients:
    1. It could be bilateral, literature report up to 16% rate of bilaterality
    2. Vitritis could be significant and very misleading in terms of diagnosis
    3. Iris is featureless. Basically iris crypts disappear. This is a very good diagnostic clue
    4. Bleeding during surgery is not significant and doesn’t interfere with surgery
    5. Prognosis for visual recovery after cataract extraction is great
    6. Rate of PCO is very high; almost all develop PCO very quickly
    7. In most cases patients develop some deposits on the IOL, no matter hydrophobic or hydrophilic, although hydrophobic is recommended and in my experience hydrophobic IOLs do better with less deposits developing on them.
