Yes, it was preceded by The Humours of Ballyloughlin, a 4-part jig, then followed by The College Groves reel, also 4-parts (usually.) Great player.

Seeing Mac's musical career in spite of his amount of talent, something tells me the winner didn't necessarily sound better.

Because the film maker choose that,,checking to be in tune you see wsose that us'ns can tune to him to learn/hear the tune
crehan production's it's a competition, he has to wait till the judges give the go ahead.
