Solair Echoes is a doujin music circle from all around Europe producing music based on the soundtrack of the Touhou Project (東方Project), Undertale arranges and occasionally some original music.

"There will be eight vocal tracks and five instrumental tracks. Three songs are written in Japanese, the other five in English. The vocal tracks feature Emmy's gentle and soft voice in addition to Lian's strong but clear and emotional voice as well as some denpa elements and pure power by yours truly (H*M).
We wanted to created a bundle of variety - to create something everyone can enjoy! There is a mix of jazz, folk, traditional, rock, hardrock, metal, power metal, ballads, electro, ambient, orchestral... everyone will find a track they like!
Each song has their own protagonist, but their fates are all intervowen. Are you able to figure out why?".

The slightly imperfect violin playing makes the whole piece more atmospheric, in my opinion. I can readily imagine most of the group playing on stage in a tavern while the violinist dances around tables.

Yeah the violin and the mixing sounds a bit off but it makes it so much more atmospheric, add in a crowd noise and I can really imagine this being a live performance in a bar or something of the like.

I like this a lot, but I feel they could a bit more practice into editing or mixing. The strings and horns are a bit tinny/sharp and off compared to the other instruments in the first third of the song.
Very good work overall though. I'll definitely be keeping watch for them.
This is new circle after all. Give them a time and I am sure they will improve a lot in no time. Hot damn, I want that pic. The violins are a bit too cacophonous, but otherwise the song itself is energetic and lively, like our favorite little duo of pseudo-muggles.
A one of a kind combination
Damn i was hyped when i saw violin/jazz metal but i honestly cant listen to this out of tune playing..
When you learned to play Violin yesterday but lie on your resume:
I'm not sure of this, to be honest. The beginning sounded all over the place, but as it goes on, I kinda enjoyed it. The violin could use some work, but yeah something I could listen to when I'm writing.

I want to like this. It's clear effort went in, but it just sounds so rough.
I'm not sure what is imperfect or perfect way to play Violin.
But, I think it suits to this piece. Perfect.
Kind of reminds me of Tenpei Sato's music for Disgaea (meant as compliment).
It took me a while to realize this was touhou, it wasn't until a quarter into the video that I finally saw moko and it clicked.
Interesting circle, every song on the album is a bit off-key and stuff, but the creativity is definitely there and the execution will probably only get better.

Also, is this place in Gensokyo or on Earth...if the former, be careful Renko and Maribel. Sumireko I'm not as concerned about, Mokou's right there. If the latter...HOW did all of you make it to the Outside World?

Отлично звучит (высоких можно меньше ) а так все прекрасно.
Most of this is good old Karasu quality but... The violinist could use more practice with the song and they probably should have done more takes. I get that it's not easy playing an instrument, I play Viola myself, and a lot of the issues with their playing are just things that they'll get better at over time but honestly keeping a recording where they're as off as they were in the beginning of this shouldn't be acceptable to _any_ musician and I'd personally just have thrown it out and started over.

It's completely on purpose. Making something sound out of tune yet still pleasant is something that takes as much if not more skill than playing it right.

There is a lot of quality in the songwriting but the excecution is lackluster at best. The loud, off-pitch violin just shredded my ears.
They need to work on the mixing a bit and take a lot more takes. To me, it sounded like they had the studio rented for a good hour and did this all in one of two takes...
Even though the off pitch violin adds more of an atmospheric touch to it? If you ever get into the more environmental aspect of composing you'll understand why this is so great.
I actually think it's more about the recording than the composition. It's well composed, but they used bad placement and space management to record the violin. It's also a tip but the room it too big and without soundproofing. In fact, having an empty room, wood flooring or floor tiles will increasre the resonnance of high frenquecy sounds.
That's why he's saying the violin is off pitch. And that they maybe didn't aknowledge the fact that a violin is super hard to record aha
@@pablogomez6710 you honestly expect a winery to be soundproof? The fact that its not recorded in a soundproof room makes it sound like it was actually recorded there. not everything has to be mechanically perfect, imperfections can make something far better than if it was perfect

I'd love it if not the violin. Sounds late and high and it is terrible for me. And it's a shame, bc if not that it would probably be one of my favourite remixes of this song. Thats very sad. ;-;

The exact reason that I like this song better than most is because of the imperfection itself. The lack of complete perfection makes it sound a lot less soulless. Concerts and live performances differ from studio recordings because of how much soul it has. To me this captures the atmosphere of a great lively tavern of some kind. All it's missing is the sound of a crowd. Maybe the fact that I'm a novelist makes me hear it different, I don't know.
