- Mumbai CSMIA Airport have 2 terminal which are few Km apart. There is a free Inter terminal bus operated by Airport for connecting passengers.
This video have in detail where to get the bus from terminal 2 up to dropping point at terminal.

To go from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1, you can take big bags along with you in the bus and will you have to board again at Terminal 1 or will you be boarding at Terminal 2 only?
Yes ,baggage can be taken in bus.
For going from T2 to T1 Have to board at T2 and will drop you at T1 arrivals,then walk to check in counter.
Is the free shuttle bus service from T2 international to T1 still operating? I heard the free shuttle was no longer operating and you had to take a pre-paid taxi. Can you confirm?
Yes,very much operating 24x7 .
You must had heard old news when it was stopped around 2016 ,later restarted in 2022.
How much time it take from T2 to T1 , including all the time, like immigration and collacting bags?
Time taken for Immigration ,baggage collection and custom depends upon real time rush,would be variable but consider average 1 hr+ .
Bus journey time depends upon time of day,in night its 10 min journey but during day time can easily take 20 min or more.
After clearing customs where i can find the lifts to go to free shuttle bus service?
As i got connecting flight to goa from terminal 1 ....
Need more information about the lifts where they based in the arrival hall at terminal 2....????
In short its well signed and anyone can guide,not something hidden.
Lift are at end of the hall when you come from baggage area after custom.

Depends upon multiple factors, first the flight lands on time, consider 20 min to come out of terminal, up to 20 min wait for bus,20 min bus ride during day time and another 15 min to reach departure gate (done web check in in advance) and gate closes 25 min before departure, so have minimum 1 hr 45 min to 2 hr gap ,but this is minimum if no other option, othersise always suggested to have 2 and half hr gap.

@@Ta-vq2lz was talking about domestic flight,for international flights expect 45 min to 60 min minimum to come out.
What about luggage..can it be stuffed into the belly of the bus?
There is space in front portion of the bus for baggage.
My family and I intend to travel from Riyadh to Kerala via Mumbai. our riyadh flight will arrive in Mumbai at 3-4 AM and the flight to Kerala is at 10 AM. If both have different PNR, can you tell me how to go to the domestic terminal? If we have more than 4 hour waiting period How early will they let us in at the domestic terminal?
Process to take bus is same as shown in the video,doesn’t matter its on same PNR or different.
After getting baggage and cleaning custom you will arrive at meet and greet hall ,just follow the sign for shuttle bus.
If your arrival at T2 is 4 AM it can easily take 2 - 2.5 hr to reach T1 by bus after doing all formalities and taking bus and no problem entering the terminal 4-5 hr before departure.

Sufficient or not depends upon multiple factors,,arriving by international or domestic,booked on same PNR or different?Travelling with checked in baggage or only cabin baggage.
Taxi time will depends when travelling and real time traffic situation,if late night to morning then 10 min is good but during day time can take 20 min or more.
Will the baggage be transferred from Terminal 2 to 1 on same PNR and airline ?
sharing flight itinerary would have been better to understand the type of connection still
it international to domestic connection then no. after immigration have to collect baggage, clear custom and change terminal using baggage,then recheck in baggage at airline check in /baggage drop counter at T1.
if its domestic to domestic connection then only one airline possible which is Indigo (as its the only airline in Mumbai operating from both terminal),in normal condition Indigo transfer baggage but there are few exception citing operational reasons,you need to confirm at the time of check in.
@@travelwithmatloo Yes it's domestic transfer of Indigo from T2 to T1. Just wanted to know if the baggage would be transferred to T1 from T2 and Inter Terminal Coach shuttle is available to go hassle-free
@@TheAshutoshpednekar In normal circumstances Baggage would be transferred and you have to change terminal either using shuttle bus or taxi (payable).
There are few exceptional connections where Indigo won’t transfer baggage due to operational reasons,by any chance its so you would be informed at first airport.
Hi my flight landing at terminal 1 from Ahmedabad at 22:55. And I have international flight at 2:55, from terminal 2. Would I be able to catch my flight. Thanks

Domestic landing at T2 (Vistara) in morning 8:20 AM and Domestic take off from T1 (Akasa Air) at 9:50 AM. Will I be able to take 2nd flight? How risky it is?
If traveling with check in baggage then almost impossible,if with only cabin baggage then may get if everything remains ideal.
If with check in baggage then have to keep in mind that check in for your Akasa flight closes 60 min before departure means at 8:50 AM so even your flight lands on time you have 30 min to disembark from aircraft,get baggage,exit ,get a cab ,transfer to T1 and reach check in counter,almost impossible.
If with only Cabin baggage then your deadline would be 9:25 to reach boarding gate means 1 hr 5-10 min to exit T2x,get taxis,reach T1,clear security (do web checking and have web boarding pass )and reach boarding gate , if lucky can do that.

My first flight landed on time, and I had a web boarding pass and only a cabin bag. I could take the 2nd flight on time (before boarding gates close).
The person registering for Inter terminal bus transfer(ITBT) said they start only after the bus is full. So, I took an auto instead of an inter-terminal bus transfer.
It took me around 5 minutes to reach ITBT from landing and 5 minutes to the Auto/Cab stand from ITBT. About 20 min from the auto stand to T1 (heavy traffic in the morning time from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM).
I traveled many times on flights (not from CSMIA). So, It was not difficult for me to navigate the airport (both inside and outside). More than one and a half hr may be required for the first timer with check-in luggage and flight history of landing late.

Will layover be sufficient for changing of flight with just just 1 hour.
With baggage impossible as check in counter for check in/baggage drop for Bhopal flight will close 60 min before departure means even you have not exit terminal 1 your check in will close.
Even without baggage almost impossible,gate closes 20 min before departure means you have 40 min to exit T1,get a cab reach T2 ,go through security and run toward the boarding gate.The time you will face heavy traffic outside T1 and also rush time for Terminal 2 so expect T2 security crowded.

Will land at T1 at 7:45 pm and next flight from T2 at 9:55 pm.
Both domestic so no immigration and customs things will be there.
