    My favorite is the Bookshop. The bright blue townhouse next to the warm earthtones and dark reds of the bookshop, plus the Autumn foliage are all really beautiful.

      The bookshop is a great one! I think that the bakery actually would slot in perfectly with that one in particular!

    Good review, thank you. I very much like Pantasy products - the designs, the quality (and quantity) of the bricks, no hurting fingers as you mentioned. As for the lack of Minifigures - it is better this way. As a Lego fan, I have thousands of those and love them and will not use off brand minifigs. But a well designed European building is always a welcome addition to all my Lego official modulars, MOCs, and off brand brick buildings. I think I am adding this one, too.

      LEGO does seem to have the monopoly on quality in terms of figures. I'd like to see some other brands start pushing them! Glad to hear you'll be picking up the Pantasy Bakery! Don't forget to use the discount code for 10% off if you do!

    I would still not buy off brand Lego but it works as a great MOC to build with actual Lego pieces. I thought the treadmill was pretty creative!

      What's your objection to buying LEGO alternatives?

    • @Mr.BrickWheelie
      @Mr.BrickWheelie Před měsícem +1

      @@JoshtheBrickworm As with any other new brand they will have issues with quality when it comes to mold fitting and even color formula. The longevity of the brand and possibly of the product. Also the resale value, it’s just not LEGO so it won’t hold value as well for when I decide to sell my collection which would make this more of a toy rather than a collectible.

    • @JoshtheBrickworm
      @JoshtheBrickworm  Před měsícem +1

      Pantasy sources their bricks from GoBricks though so I have faith in the over all quality. In terms of the collectible value, that's fair. I think that if you're going for building a city or buying things for display, that these are high quality alternatives but they certainly aren't an investment that will beat the market like LEGO is.

    Have you also done the FunWhole sets? I am tempted by the light kits that come with it

    • @JoshtheBrickworm
      @JoshtheBrickworm  Před 11 dny +1

      I haven't done any FunWhole sets yet, but they are on my list to try! I have a big back log of things to get through before I get to FunWhole though. If you're interested in lighting kits, JMBricklayer sets also come with lighting kits and I have built one of their sets and it is good quality.

    • @brickblums
      @brickblums Před 11 dny +1

      Thank you! Yeah, I have way too big of a backlog to buy any new sets from any brand! But, once I do start buying I'm tempted to try one of these off-brands @@JoshtheBrickworm

    The idea of lego is CREATE YOUR OWN
    Its' not YOUR city if you don't. It's nothing more than a set of franchises ultimately owned by other people.

    • @JoshtheBrickworm
      @JoshtheBrickworm  Před měsícem

      I think it's great to have a blend of MOCS and sets. LEGO and LEGO alternative sets provide you with some awesome buildings to put into your city that look amazing. For collectors who prefer not to MOC, it's especially great to have sets that can fit into a city.
