Don't mess with Mama Bear.
It's 1823. On his way back to Fort Kiowa, trapper Hugh Glass finds himself face to face with a family of wild Grizzly Bears. Years of killing animals for their hides starts to catch up with the hunter as the big Mama Bear comes barreling down on Glass.
Pummelled, clawed, mutilated and nearly dismembered, Glass must find a way to fight off this raging behemoth. And that's where Potato comes in to try to help.
Watch as the gang try to help Glass fend off the bear and escape with his life.

He wasn't hunting the bears, he stumbled upon them and took his gun out to prepare for a mama bear - cubs are always a sure sign their mom is lurking nearby.

LOL funny video man. Also just a few notes, he wasnt hunting the bear cubs he just stumbled upon them and got attacked. Also he didnt want to attack the bear after it left but he knew it would come back. He was a knowledgeable ranger type so he probably knows a lot about Bears. Bears a lot of the time keep playing with their prey even after their dead so they tend to come back to it. He only shot after he knew it was gonna attack again. Im just writing this so people can know what really happened but still this video made me laugh lol
+ninjastorm540 if bears come back to play with their dead prey, are you saying that playing dead won't work with a bear? If that's the case, what do you do when you come in contact with a bear??? Thought those things were scary enough as is. Nice info :)

LOL yea they do. Playing dead doesnt work unless your just lucky that it loses interest fast. Though the bear was probably more aggressive cause its cubs we're around. Im not 100% sure what is the best way to survive one (especially if your around their kids) but just know i dont wanna be in that situation lol

yeah he's right most predators play with their pray before they kill it and playing dead has a very low chance of working unless it looses interest for something else just like in the movie when one of the cubs was trying to come down off a tree and making help noises but it returned to him.
but it is a movie after all no one can survive those injuries , cool video btw ;)

Hopefully you're only parodying the whole scene in a "What if" sort of deal. Sadly, because of the internet, I can never be quite certain with these types of things anymore.
Just for anyone not immediately aware however, Hugh wasn't trying to shoot the cubs, he was looking out for their mother. That's just how big a warning sign bear cubs present, they're the precursor to something that will casually, but ferociously, maul you in the worst ways imaginable. Even amateur hunters know that bear cubs = Run like hell (Read: Back off).
