Spirit isn't.... Awful... I flew spirit once and it was a decent experience. Not the most comfortable but it's better than being in a car for two days to stay somewhere for a week. But they were absolutely awful with customer service and basically told us to screw ourselves when we were two minutes later than we were supposed to get there and ended up missing our flight

Is there a reason you don't use Rare Candies instead of grinding? I enjoy watching but I do wonder if you'd make it a little further by grinding up low level mons with candy instead of risking them in encounters. Maybe if this run fails, candies can be considered for the next one? I know you've lost mons and spent a ton of time in grindfests.

I can't speak for John but to me cheating in rare candies just isn't very fun. Feels less authentic. I know it's a randomizer and thus already a modded game but I dunno, I just feel scummy doing it. Also not dying while grinding is part of the challenge.
@@TheRedScizor I thought he meant normal rare candies and i was like "well that's very luck based..." I absolutely agree with you that it would be cheating.
because it's not a real nuzlocke then. And we would miss out on great moments like that koffing using destiny bond on rayquaza
@@TheRedScizor To me, the grinding part is the lowest skill portion of a Nuzlocke. You can just go to route 1 and grind off low level mons safely. Naturally that isn't good material for a streamer hence why John doesn't do that. It's also not uncommon imo - plenty of nuzlockers hack in rare candies to skip grinding because there is no skill to grinding, even in a randomizer. I enjoy the trainer battles the most and hope that John can manage to beat USUM eventually, hence my suggestion.
