The Rookery, Streatham Common: A forgotten corner of Streatham's history.
A great job. Remember it well. I lived and grew up at Tulse Hill and worked for a decade at the REGAL ABC Streatham Hill as a film projectionist.
I used to work as an apprentice gardner at Streatham Common in 1963 / 64. Our tea room was in the Rookery.
i lived there in the 60 s as a kid so thank you for the rookery we loved it x
Lovely dog and great video
Thankyou, that was a nice trip down some old haunts for me....
Brings back lots of memories, played, walked, biked all over when a lad, more wooded than I remember, but that was 45 years ago, took it for granted, is the bowling green still there?
Loved this. Thanks for sharing this you did a really good job.
Thank you so much. It means a lot. 🙏
Eu estava neste lugar neste parque em Dezembro do ano passado.😁👏👏 love
What was he saying, sounds like he would be more at home in the Caribbean.
I think you'll find that's a South African accent although I could be mistaken.
If you can't understand him then you are obviously not British... Very easy to understand
@@CrabappleKing I am English, born and bred.
@@JohnSmith-jf3us Hip hip hooray !!!
Sorry… I’ve only just seen this… I’m actually Italian… the Caribbean sounds great, but I’ve never been unfortunately… 🥲
Your dog is not allowed below top terrace,in future read signs provided. If you like the rookery so much i would expect you to respect the rules and other park users.
