If I had a wish, I’d forget this whole show just so I could rewatch this and understand how monumental and epic this scene was.

I watched that episode yesterday and when Donna started talking I already was like 'That girl looks like rose, doesn't she?' and then she turned around and I just paused, screamed and jumped. Anyone else noticed the doomsday music?

This was the best and ultimate moment and plot twist ever in TV. I literally didn't even think, not for a second, I just assumed it was a randomer. My dad loves to correctly predict everything that happens in every TV show, and even he was so shocked. When she turned around, we all sat forward, jaws dropped, a sharp intake of breath, and goosebumps coursed through my body. It was so epic. THIS is what I miss about Russell T Davies.

I remember watching this moment for the first time distinctively. I was sat on the table for some reason and I was so shocked, I couldn’t speak! I remember running into the kitchen shouting “MUM, DAD ROSE IS BACK!!!” I love how we all have a clear memory of this, because it was so powerful! They don’t make tv like this no more
Throw back to 2008, first seeing this for the first time (when I was 10) and just absolutely in shock... I remember just being in awe, jaw dropped and hairs standing on the back of my neck...
Rose also pops up on the monitor on episode 5 when the Doctor speaks to the sontarans, it's about 8:45secs in the Doctor says "This is the Doctor" and Rose flashes up on the screen for a brief second. Awesome show.. So is Torchwood.

yeah...i had goosebumps, ill admit it. There was something about the 10 and rose story, such chemistry..sometimes you get two actors together and it just works, and those two definately did!

I watched this a few minutes ago and if you've seen the movie Hercules, (Disney) just imagine every time Hades went insane but all at the same time, and 10 times worse. Thats how I reacted when I saw Rose turn around.

When I first saw this episode I just thought to myself, "It's Rose. It's Rose. They're hiding her face because she's gonna turn around and it's gonna be Rose." And then she turned around AND I WAS LIKE OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!!! HOW?!?!?!? OH MY GOD!!!!!!

Even though we all knew she was coming back, this was such a massive shock! I had no idea at all we were gonna get a teaser like that so early on in the serise!! It was just so brillient! Secrets are hardly ever kept about stuff like this, well done to the BBC for keeping that under wraps. I was shocked, excited, moved. Utterly perfect TV moment. :)

For someone who likes searching things up before watching them (I know, I’m crazy) I was watching Doctor Who so fast that I didn’t get to look up if Rose ever returned so this scene was amazing to see for the first time ever. I remembered thinking, blonde hair, imagine if this was Rose and BAM it was.
I finally got my boyfriend to watch doctor who. Just finished season 3, and I totally lied to him and said she never returns. I’m so fucking excited for this drop!!! Finally can watch someone react to this!

I remember losing my goddamn mind. I'm not one for shrill shrieks of pleasure out loud, but damn if I didn't mentally scream 'ROSEdjkfsljf!'. I was giddy as HELL the minute she turned around.
I swear this is the best scene EVER in the history of tv shows. Ahhh, this is why I love Doctor Who so much :). Never ceases to amaze me.

I've just saw this and i've started crying, i read some spoilers and knew that she was coming back but when i saw her hair i knew it was her and almost died. I just imagine that she was there because as she is working in the paralel Torchwood, they made her go someway because of what was going on

Hmm, good question. Maybe the gap in the parallel world was small at that point which only allowed her a tiny amount of time. The bigger the gap the more amount of time she can spend on the non-parallel earth.
actually i think she was saying DONNA, go back and rewatch her lips. clearly rtd is making donna the "savior" for this season for some reason or another and rose is looking for her help.

@zetabyte99 Err no. Donna's with the doctor midway through the episode. Rose' apperances are 1, 5, 10-13. Episode 1 reunites the doctor and Donna and Rose makes a suprise apperance.
