Thanks for the top 10, Adam. I enjoy your fireside manner, beer, etc. 🙂 There is always so much good music that I don't think I can offer anything better for your 10 best of 2022, except maybe Forest Floor by Fergus McCreddie (Edition Records) or Feeding the Machine by Binker & Moses (Gearbox Records). I think I acquired more reissues during 2022 than new music. I'll need to remedy that in 2023. All the best!
Did you get Forest Floor on vinyl? Last year I had several from Edition Records in my top 10, but sadly this year I still haven't received the records I ordered on January 1st. I hope they get their fulfillment act together because musically, they're at the absolute top of the game. I only gave Forest Floor a partial listen on Spotify but I'll check out the full thing today.
@@adamczerepinski January 1st?! Holy smokes -- that *is* a long time. I don't actually own the vinyl -- it sold out quickly. It would deserve a repress because the album has attracted a number of plaudits and so folk like you and me will be looking to grab a copy! Yes, 2021 was good for Edition. I really enjoyed Nate Smith's album. Immaculately pressed, and on pink vinyl too.
Nice list! I haven’t heard a lot of these. My favorite jazz-ish releases are from Makaya McCraven, Dawn Richard & Spencer Zahn, Sun Ra Arkestra, Dezron Douglas, and Laura Jurd
Your presentation is spot on, enjoy how you list those on the album. Continue on, thx.
Blue note takes the audiophile path and uses all 4 sides to avoid inner groove distortion issues. It’s a trade off between sonics and convenience.

Actually, just looking now, Forest Floor is sold out on CD too!

@@AsadAli-jc5tg jazz or contains jazz elements
I would add everything John Zorn recorded and/or produced last year.
For whatever reason he's fallen off my radar - haven't checked him out in years. I'll look up his newer stuff.
@@adamczerepinski There's a lot to digest.
For those discovering JAMES BRANDON LEWIS, don't miss ¨ Radiant Imprints (2018) ¨ - - - my Favorite release of 2018 ___ great Album !!
Melisa Aldana record is really good and underrate by many due the lack of advertising. Her sound is like the jazz should sound.
