    I heated some on a car I had it was fine but it does make the ride rough. But your right it's not the right way. But it's quick easy and cheap🤷‍♂️

    Can I just use the weight of the car to compress?

      Yes, that's the way it's normally done... just be careful you don't clamp your hand when it drops or burn a brake line 😂...

      Also you can use the jack to apply pressure to the swing arm/ side your doing
