I went live on tiktok with this person... I thought she wanted to share her work and say hi. I did censor names and bad words. This is what transpired...
What are your thoughts on this?
Razz just keep doing your art- I have been listening to you since you started and I have NEVER heard anything but a humble artist that is excited about sharing his love of beadwork! I don’t know who this person is but they sound very “off”. I’m sure I speak for many when I say I am very grateful for you taking the time making all the videos for all of us that love beadwork in this community. Thank you. ❤

The only person I have ever heard Razz be critical of is himself... In fact, too much sometimes in MY humble opinion. So to accuse Razz of putting "so many people down" is ludicrous. The work IS technical. And he has been more than generous in creating and publishing comprehensive tutorials on this channel to do exactly what he explains in this video, which is to archive these techniques and educate people. Point blank, I feel embarrassed for this individual and I feel she owes Razz a public apology. Just my .02 cents.

I wondered about that, too. Her unwillingne6to provide examples is how my alcoholic ex showed me his ability to reason was extremely impared even though he rarely slurred his words.

Wow! I'm surprised you entertained that for that long. She made no sense. There were no facts, no receipts and at times she didn't even know what she was talking about. It was so high school. The only thing I gathered is she some how got her feelings hurt because of what "people said".
There are most definitely levels of skills acquired in beading; just as you explained. Not everyone will excel in those skills like in everything else in life.
I don't believe lack of those skills has anything to do with the amount of heart or love a person puts into their creations. I believe they are two separate things and maybe that's what she was mixing up? Because she kept saying there wasn't levels but using the word levels.
At the end of the day we are artists putting our hearts into our work and hoping people will see it the way we do. We have to have thick skin to do that. But this whole people said this and that is straight bs. It's childish and to mention how many people are in the live and to be so petty is just embarrassing.
Don't let this stop you. I remember an elder once pulled me aside when I was about to give up and asked me if I had ever seen a bucket of crabs. I told him no and he told me Natives are like a bucket of crabs. They are all in the same place and if one is about to make it up and out of the bucket they will start to pull it back down into the bucket. This situation made me think of that because of the way she kept trying to prove to you that she was just as good if not better than you. It's sad and I wish it wasn't like that but I've seen so much of it in the Native community not just with art, but blood quantum, rez vs city native, etc... So much division.
Even though it can be disheartening, what you are doing is important, don't let the noise distract you from your intention and goal of preservation.
Razz, I have watched several of your videos. I follow you to get your tips, hints, and advice on many things as I am just starting out on my beading journey. I have never heard a word of discontent come from you about another artist. Please know that many who follow you also, feel the same way. Keep showing us these wonderful skills and, help us walk our journeys.
As an Annishinaabe Grandmother, mother, sister, and residential school survivor from three generations, I wanted to thank you, Razzmatazz, for your helpful video on beading. I have returned to beading after watching it, and I couldn't be more grateful. I wanted to express my gratitude by saying "Chii Miigwich." Your visual and auditory instructions were clear, and they spoke volumes to me. As an artist and educator myself, I urge you not to get involved in conversations like the one at hand. They only breed jealousy and condescension, and they go in circles with no proof of anything. It's giving me a headache, and I'm impressed with your patience. You're not just a beader; you're also an educator. If you can teach a granny like me, then you're on the right path. Finally, please don't feed the monsters. In our language, "Ma No" means it doesn't matter, as my grans used to say.

After 60+ years of beading myself, you've already taught me a few tricks, there most definitely are different levels of beadwork, esp. with our traditional bead art. This woman is messed up and playing childish games. Razz keep your head up she's clearly jealous of your beadwork and trying to look for excuse to get mad at you. Your clearly here to show your talents and to educate people like my self I'm a Canadian native and I like to bead as well and your videos inspired me to upload shorts of my bead work.. keep up your great work. There will always be people trying to knock you down but you know what, we get back up and fight again. and you know what you are helping and inspiring razz person
I just came across this…a little late I guess. That was a whole lot of contradictions. I don’t think she came with a strong point. I think she couldn’t decide who’s side she was on. She was literally making things up. Someone on his live asked him for advice on starting to bead and he recommended that they go to someone who uses bigger beads. (not even her!) and this girl decided it was her chance to be a big hater for no reason. And now she's playing victim after this

This Sandra lady needs help. “There aren’t levels to beading” to “I believe everyone has different levels”. Her words hold no water. She did not have a complete coherent thought & did not have a complete coherent sentence. I am praying for her. May she find the healing that she desperately is crying out for. You handled the conversation well Razz. Don’t let this stop you from doing your art. It’s just a projection that has nothing to do with you. The beading community doesn’t need this lateral violence & she just exposed her intentions to the beading community.
I just started to learn bead embroidery, I have learned so much, I have never heard you say anything bad about anyone.I love your teaching. I think she is a little off or maybe a little drunk. Everyone has their own way of teaching beading, just keep doing what you are doing. Keep beading, you are very good at what you do.

Razz has literally NEVER talked bad about anyone ever. It's not in his nature. I know him outside of Tiktok/CZcams. He is a genuine soul with a kind heart and a great sense of humor. All he has ever done is try to help others. Even in times when he was struggling himself, he still donated beadwork that he could have sold to help himself in order to help others.
She had no business coming in the public eye with her complaints. She had no receipts, no witnesses, no point. Period. She just rambled on and made no sense at all. The fact that she kept on making sure to say how great SHE is about her silver smithing shows her true intentions. She's projecting how SHE acts onto him, and it's not fair, and it should never have happened. Period. You can't tell someone they act better than everyone else and proceed to brag about how you're world wide etc etc. You're literally projecting your own behavior onto someone who doesn't deserve it. She needs some serious prayer.
Even hear her man say "my coworker just died, go fight people in another rooms" I doubt she even remembers anything 🤬 one of those drunks that provokes till getting told off and then plays victim 😑 very familiar with that type of drunk 🥴 🙄

Razz I love your videos. I am having a hard time being charitable towards her. She is rude and just having a rant with no purpose other than trying to bring you down. What difference does it make how many people are on a live? Most busy people watch later when they have time, the main thing to us is the content is there when we have a chance to view it. She is very patronizing and sees no viewpoint other than her own. The comments on levels/technical are senseless and convoluted. That is what I love about listening to you, you verbalize your thoughts extremely well, explain techniques perfectly for me. I am sorry I could only make it halfway through this, she was ruining my day. I am not Native American, I am half Irish and love beading. My grandsons are Choctaw and Cherokee heritage, I try to learn what I can of their heritage because that side of their family has no interest in that at all so I am grateful that your videos are available. She is hurting my heart, see ya later.
I have watched your videos and I have learned so much from you. No one can deny the work you do is difficult for beginners but its inspiring to know someday I will be that good. I have never witnessed you be involved in drama of any kind. I have never witnessed you get involved in gossip or jealousy. You keep to yourself and work hard and you even help and give to others as you do. You have been so humble. I have so much respect for you not only as an artist but as a person. 100% agree with this! I’m sorry but there is a level to beadwork. My beadwork when I first started was trash. Now it is so much better and I would love to get to this level! I wouldn’t have given her 10 seconds of my time. She’s here on his platform acting up!

None of us in the beading community let alone Razz should have to deal with lateral violence. The beading community has always been supportive of each other, let’s keep it that way. There are fundamentals to everything, we didn’t just flop out of the womb knowing how to bead 🤷🏻♀️. Sounds like projection & insecurity, it’s unfortunate. Of course will be praying for her 🙏🏽.

Omg, I only got about 12 minutes into this clip before I stopped. Obviously, the person was inebriated and feeling some kind of way. She imagined this scenario where you said something about her due to her own self-doubts and self-worth view. Instead of giving you actual examples of your being this person she believed in her thoughts. I have only been following you for about 6 months now and I enjoy watching your videos very much.
