For the last story: I am a Christian. While I don't use the Lord's name in vain, I can't stop other people from doing so. Also, I certainly think that being in labor outweighs cursing at others. I think it's important to be as kind as you can towards others when possible, but during labor, your "kindness meter" is allowed to be low. You are pushing a baby out afterall! So yell, scream, cry, etc. Whatever you need to safely deliver is most important. ❤

Last story: I am a born again Christian and hearing the Lords name in vain does offend me but I cannot stop others saying it. Although I do want to point out that this is the only religion where it is seen as ‘normal’ to do. No other religious gods name’s are taken in vain. 🤷🏽♀️

It’s totally understandable that you feel offended by it, which is why I personally have been trying to make an effort to not say it as much. I’m curios (if you might be willing to share), do you find it offensive if someone only exclaims e.g ,,oh god‘‘ when in shock etc. or more so if it is used in context with a ,,bad‘‘ word, like here in the story? 💘
