    Acrylic pouring: Fluid art
My pouring medium used for my current work is a pre mix of 70% “Mont marte clear craft glue and 30% warm water, (most pva glues can be made up with same ratios to make a pouring medium), I add my pouring medium to my paint slowly until I achieve the consistency of pouring cream, approximately 50/50 more pm if needed.
My paint brands mostly used are the Mont marte studio acrylics, dimensions, or pouring paints, Boom Gel stain.
When iv mixed my paints I add 2-4 drops maximum of Helmar silicone, also Australian made, I stir in well.
I always like to mix up my paints and add silicone the day before I’m going to paint, and cover with a damp cloth, as I have found I have much better results.

So very disappointed to see so many thumbs down on this video 😪 I have a fair idea of why and who incited it and it makes my blood boil! When I first noticed some "dislikes" on yr videos was shocked but now I've learnt that this actually puts yr videos further down in the search 🤬 How low can people stoop? Just shows how bloody fantastic you are Gilly and how much if a threat you are seen as 😔💕💕💕

It was so great to hear you talking about my tip of flipping over the canvases. You’ve given me so much inspiration and instruction. But more than that, you’ve given me courage with color choices and now I’m making my best pieces ever. It feels good to have given back this tiny tip. Not comparable at all but feels good. I adore your work and your channel. Thanks again!

I think they all came out great, the first one was so vibrant but even the last one which was more textural was nice in its own way too.
When i am doing the pours that I do, i always keep a tub somewhere handy with either acrylic key-chain blanks or glass cabochons oh even coasters or small wooden squares which I will dip into the areas of unused paint and then turn into jewelry and when I do my craft fairs and sales etc I have some items that might be on a lower price point compared to the canvases to offer people.
The other benefit is because its pour off from a already used project its literally costing you pennies to produce these extra pieces, some nice packaging and a label and you have a nice little side gift to offer. Just an idea

Great idea! Made me think, why not use the balloons to take the leftover paint and create flowers and fairies on another canvas? I did something similar with a triptych (sp?) I actually really like the third one. I think I would have gone in and used a small angled brush on it to very sparingly apply a shadowy gray or deep burnished gold in some of the more muddled areas to give some contrast and a sense of depth.

3rd piece is lovely, too, Golly! I love it and m so glad you dipped it (I hate to see paint colors go to waste ;-) thanks so much!
    Your joy is contagious

Oh my goodness Gilly these canvases came out gorgeous! My reaction was just a giddy as yours. Such fun. I have two questions if you don’t mind. First, when dry, do you apply a shiny topcoat? How do you take the tacks out of the underneath of canvas? Thank you Gilly! Xoxoxo

Yes and yes :) i apply a varnish, i have videos in my playlist to varnish finished works and i pull out jumbo push pins by wiggling them lose and pull :)

I absolutely love the simplicity of this dip and the results were gorgeous especially the first one. One question though , how is the bubble wrap placed? I mean are the actual bubbles face up or face down? Does it make a difference? I am a newbie and trying to learn. I love your work. Thank you so much for sharing.

I'm pretty sure the whole point of using bubble wrap is for the texture, so I'd imagine the bubbles are facing up. Not sure tho

At 10:40 you can see the paint seeping between the bubbles

Hi Gilly, this is the first time I've watched one of your video's and I'm hooked on this style of art. The round canvases are stunning. The third one, maybe if you could have lifted the edges of the bubble wrap up slightly so more of the paint could have flowed into the centre would have a different outcome maybe.
