In this video David Goatley introduces himself and tells us a little about the process of entering your art in juried exhibitions and what he looks for as a juror.
Ah the mystery of the juried show. I accidentally walked in on a jurying process today which led me here as I wondered how it works. Of course it is totally subjective but I like the advice given here especially about his looking for that "surprise" painting. Also I always keep a photo of the extremely subpar painting of a black cat that was accepted and I could never understand why it was accepted. Of course that is just my subjective opinion haha. Thank you David for shedding some light on an otherwise very secretive process.
Beautiful paintings!

I swear the juried with prize I entered 3 years in a row was rigged.
