- On September 10, 2020, Rory appeared live on RFD-TV's evening program "Rural America Live" to discuss "The One Room Schoolhouse"... a daily Live program, starting September 14th, bringing school home to any and every child who has access to the Internet or cable television.
At Hardison Mill Homestead School where his little girl Indiana attends, they are leaving one chair and desk in the classroom empty for all the millions of kids who can’t go to school right now, and broadcasting live for an hour every morning on Facebook Live at 9 am CST.

Rory, I just want to say that love what your It's made a big impack on a lot of lives. And Ms. Rebecca thank you for all you do for teaching and caring for the children in your school. I see how much they love you. Children are like sponges. I believe they are getting the best of best that life can give them in growing up. Blessings to all.

I love the passion that you and Joey showed each other,and i understand your loss my wife last year she was 66 and had copd for 11 years ,when you lose someone so close you have you always have that empty feeling and the love you show Indy is great and God will bless both of you ,Rory i hope you write a beautiful song about Joey keep up the great work!

Daddy went to a one room school for the time he went to school. He went to school with him brothers when he was 4 or 5 years old because his Mother wasn't there and his Daddy had to farm to make a living for the family. Daddy quit school in the 6th grade to help grandpa on the farm. But he never stopped learning. The things he learned by doing hands on things on the farm if something broke the fixed it didn't have the money to go out and pay someone to do it. He taught me to do the same thing. Hands on is some of the best teaching there is.
